Jashpurnagar . Lalmati of Gamharia village in Jashpur district is one of the inspiring women in rural areas who have transformed their lives through strong determination and the benefits of government programs. Lalmati, who previously supported her family by working as a laborer, has now carved a new niche in the village as a successful entrepreneur.

Laxmi joined the Prajapati Gauri Self-Help Group in 2020. She says that when she learned about the Bihan Yojana, which offers benefits from government schemes, she decided to join the group. After this, positive changes began to occur in her life.

Lalita first started a business selling shuttering plates, used in roofing, with a loan from the Industries Department. In January 2025, she received a loan under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) scheme, with technical support from the organization. Today, she owns over 200 shuttering plates and is generating good profits from this business.

He further explained that the housing currently being built under the PM Housing Scheme has resulted in increased demand for plates, which has further increased his income.
