Raipur . Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap today inaugurated a one-day workshop organized by the Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation Limited on the topic "Vision 2030 – Building a High-Growth Business Model for the Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation." The one-day workshop was held at the Aranya Bhavan Auditorium, Naya Raipur.

In his address during the program, Forest Minister Kashyap praised the corporation's work and said that the Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation is playing a vital role in strengthening the state's forest-based economy. He said that currently, it is necessary to expand the corporation's activities through scientific and sustainable management of forest resources, value addition of forest produce, and better coordination with industries.

Forest Minister Kashyap said that such workshops are the need of the hour. They provide an opportunity to share experiences from different states, gather industry expectations, and offer expert suggestions on a single platform, helping to develop effective action plans for the future. He congratulated Forest Development Corporation officials for the successful event and expressed confidence that the suggestions received from this workshop will lead to a robust and high-growth roadmap for the corporation.

The program was inaugurated by Prem Kumar, Managing Director of the Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation, who delivered a welcome address, detailing the workshop's objectives and the corporation's long-term goals under Vision 2030. He said that the corporation is working towards strengthening the state's economy through sustainable use of forest resources, value addition, and new opportunities.

On this occasion, Ramsevak Paikra, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation, also addressed the workshop, stating that the Forest Development Corporation is consistently performing well and providing livelihood opportunities to forest dwellers. Senior Forest Department officials, including Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force, Chhattisgarh, V. Srinivas Rao, were also present at the event.

It is noteworthy that this workshop was highlighted by the participation of representatives from Forest Development Corporations from five states. They shared their activities, best practices, and success stories. Additionally, representatives from various industries also participated, sharing their views on their industry needs and potential opportunities for collaboration with the corporation.

This one-day workshop featured fruitful discussions in various sessions. Based on experiences from various states, suggestions from industry, and expert input, significant initiatives were taken toward building a high-growth model for the Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation under Vision 2030. Participants commended this initiative and expressed their appreciation for such discussions, stating that such discussions would prove extremely useful in shaping future strategies.
