Raipur, March 14, 2026/ Our government is working with determination to shape the future of tribal society. Thanks to the unwavering commitment of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, we are now successfully restoring prosperity and peace in the Bastar region. Bastar remained untouched by development for nearly 40 years and was long affected by Naxalite influence, but now the situation is rapidly changing. He expressed confidence that the state will soon be moving towards liberation from Naxalism, which will usher in a new era of peace, prosperity, and well-being in tribal society. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai made this statement while addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day "Aadi Parb" held at the Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI) campus in Nava Raipur.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the theme of 'Aadi Parb' has been kept as 'From Tradition to Identity'. This event was organized with the aim of providing a common platform to the rich tribal culture, art and traditions of Chhattisgarh, in which tribal folk artists from Chhattisgarh as well as Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra and Jharkhand participated. He said that people from 43 different tribes of the state gathered on one platform, which is a symbol of our cultural diversity and richness. The Chief Minister congratulated the entire team of the department for this successful event and also congratulated the 'Aadi Parb' painting and costume for receiving the 'Golden Book of World Records' award.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated a 100-seater hostel constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore in the TRTI campus with the aim of providing better opportunities for higher education and research to the youth of the tribal community.

The Chief Minister said that such an event holds special significance in the tribal-dominated state of Chhattisgarh, as it showcases the breadth of our rich tribal culture and traditions. He said that the event showcased a wonderful confluence of traditional paintings, crafts, fairs, and traditional cuisine. Our folk traditions are our true identity.

The Chief Minister said that one of the two museums located here is dedicated to the life story of Martyr Veer Narayan Singh. He said that on November 1, 2025, on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the establishment of Chhattisgarh state, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's first digital 'Martyr Veer Narayan Singh Memorial cum Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum', which is a matter of pride for all of us.

The Chief Minister said that the second tribal museum vividly depicts traditional costumes and customs worn on various occasions in tribal life, including birth, marriage, and death rites. In the race for modernity, we must preserve our vanishing cultural heritage.

He said that it is a matter of great fortune for us that today, under leadership like Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the welfare of the tribal community is among the highest priorities in the country. He said that the opportunity for the highest office of the country, President, was given to Mrs. Draupadi Murmu, a daughter of the tribal community, which is a matter of pride for the entire tribal community.

The Chief Minister said that through the Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, 6,691 identified settlements in Chhattisgarh are being transformed. Connecting extremely backward tribes with the mainstream is among the government's top priorities. He said that through the PM Janman Yojana, roads, housing, and other basic amenities are being provided to special backward tribes. Under this scheme, more than 56,000 families from over 2,300 PVTG settlements in the state are benefiting.

The Chief Minister said that the Niyyad Nellanar Scheme (Your Good Village) is a significant initiative of our government, through which basic amenities like roads, electricity, water, health, and education are being provided to tribal villages in the Naxal-affected Bastar region. Furthermore, people in these areas are now receiving direct benefits from government schemes.

On this occasion, Tribal Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam said that since the formation of the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, many important works have been undertaken for the pride of the tribal community. Among these, the Martyr Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum and the Museum dedicated to tribal culture and traditions are prominent. He said that this is the country's first digital museum, attracting visitors from both India and abroad. The museum features live presentations of tribal heroes and movements that fought against the British, enhancing the community's pride. He added that the government is working to shape the future of the tribal community through 3,357 ashram hostels, 17 Prayas schools, and 75 Eklavya schools. He added that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai's government has granted leases to 425,425 beneficiaries under the FRA covering 3.49 lakh hectares.

On this occasion, Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap extended his congratulations and best wishes for the 'Aadi Parb' organized on the theme of 'From Tradition to Identity'. He said that we have seen the pain of Naxalism closely and now, due to the determination of the double engine government, Naxalism is moving towards its end. He said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has played an important role in freeing Chhattisgarh from Naxalism. He praised this effort to take tribal culture and traditions to the world through 'Aadi Parb'.

During the event, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai honored Mr. Ankit Sakini and Mr. Diamond Dhruv, both tribal students who successfully qualified for the UPSC examination. Students from Prayas Residential Schools who were selected for NITs and IITs were also honored. The Chief Minister also presented checks for laptops to students from Prayas Residential Schools.

During the programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai also released a book based on the tribal history of Surguja region and enjoyed the attire show presented by tribal youth dressed in traditional costumes.

MLA Shri Prabodh Minj and Shri Indrakumar Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Dr. Rampratap Singh, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tribal Commission Shri Roopsingh Mandavi, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Medicinal and Plant Board Shri Vikas Markam, Principal Secretary of Tribal Development Department Shri Sonmani Bora, Commissioner Dr. Saransh Mittal, Director of TRTI Smtami Hina Netam and a large number of dignitaries from the tribal community were present in the program.
