00 Digital Crop Survey Increases Transparency, Employment for Over 58,000 Youth
Raipur. The Central Government's ambitious AgriStake project is becoming the foundation of a new revolution in Chhattisgarh's agriculture sector, empowering it technologically and modernizing it. The Digital Crop Survey Scheme, implemented under this project, has enhanced transparency and accuracy by connecting farming to digital platforms in the state. Through this mobile app-based survey, information on Kharif and Rabi crops is being recorded online, making agricultural management more effective.
Digital verification of 85% of Khasras completed.
In the Digital Crop Survey, which began on August 15, 2025, for the Kharif year 2025, a total of 119,68,415 Khasras from 18,008 villages across 33 districts of the state were surveyed. Of these, 118,07,537 Khasras have been approved. Thus, the digital survey of 85% of Khasras has been successfully completed. Meanwhile, the survey for the 2026 Rabi crop year is ongoing from January 1, 2026.
79% of farmers have received Farmer IDs
. Under the AgriStake project, out of a total of 40,08,908 farmers in the state, 31,68,555 farmers have been verified and Farmer IDs have been created. This represents 79.22% of the total farmers. In recognition of the state's excellent performance, the central government has provided an amount of ₹104 crore under the Special Central Assistance Scheme.
Technology will strengthen the agricultural system. Chief Minister
Vishnu Dev Sai stated that the state government is committed to making farming more efficient and transparent by connecting farmers with modern technology. He added that through the AgriStake project, farmers will quickly receive the benefits of government schemes and scientific management of agricultural data will be possible. Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma stated that the digital crop survey is not only a technological improvement but also a new avenue for employment for rural youth. He informed that in the Kharif season 2025-26, digital crop survey work was completed in 14,066 villages of 33 districts, in which 58 thousand 335 rural unemployed youth got employment as surveyors. These youth will be paid approximately Rs 12 crore for this work. Employment will be provided twice a year Now, with the digital crop survey being conducted twice a year – in Kharif and Rabi seasons – rural youth will get regular employment opportunities. This will increase economic activities in villages and will give new strength to the technology-based agricultural system.
