To ensure availability of drinking water in summer, there will be a ban on tube well mining till July 15.

Collector bans tube well digging without permission
Raipur. Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh has banned the digging of new tube wells in Raipur district during the summer season until July 15th. An order has been issued from the Collectorate in this regard. Considering the ongoing summer season, Raipur district has been declared a water-scarce area until July 15th. This ban on digging new tube wells has been imposed to ensure adequate drinking water for the public during the summer season.
According to the order, no new tube wells will be dug in Raipur district until July 15th, 2026, without prior permission from the competent authority. No new tube wells will be dug for any purpose other than drinking water during this period. Prior permission will be required from the competent authority for any new tube well digging during this period. Government, semi-government, and municipal bodies will not need permission to dig tube wells for drinking water in areas within their jurisdiction.
