00 Governor calls for innovation and public participation for Bastar's all-round development
Raipur. Governor Ramen Deka has stated that Bastar has now entered a new era of peace and trust. He emphasized that to make this positive change permanent, innovation-based work should be prioritized in the areas of education, health, water and environmental conservation, and livelihood promotion. The Governor was addressing a review meeting of district and block-level officials in the Prerna Hall of the Jagdalpur Collectorate today. Governor Deka directed officials to develop
a development
model tailored to local needs while making proper use of Bastar's rich natural resources. He specifically called for community efforts to improve education and health, reconnecting drop-out children to schools, and strengthening health services to ensure quality medical care reaches every individual in society.

The Governor called for innovation and public participation for the all-round development of Bastar.


Livelihood and Innovation: 
Innovate and integrate traditional skills and forest produce with modern markets. Support agricultural activities such as organic farming, goat rearing, poultry farming, and fisheries should be promoted. To enhance the value of local silk textiles, contemporary designs should be modified to make them more attractive and competitive in the global market.

Women Empowerment
Motivate women self-help groups for mushroom, ginger and turmeric cultivation. Provide them assistance in preparing various products according to different seasons and linking them directly to the market.
Environment Protection and Humanitarian Initiative
The Governor planted mango saplings in the Collectorate premises under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan and appealed to take care of the saplings with public participation. During the programme, showing human sensitivity, he distributed aid and certificates to Nikshay Mitras for TB eradication. Provided food baskets to patients from Nikshay Mitra Fund. Distributed spectacles to the beneficiaries after cataract operation.

During the meeting, Collector Mr. Akash Chhikara provided detailed information on the progress of development schemes and innovations being implemented in the district through a PowerPoint presentation. Superintendent of Police Mr. Shalabh Sinha, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Prateek Jain, and senior officials from all departments were present on the occasion.
