Chief Minister Sai inspected the under-construction Nalanda campus at Saliatoli.
Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inspected the under-construction Nalanda campus in Saliatoli village of Kunkuri development block of Jashpur district and took stock of the progress of the work. Reviewing the construction work of this 250-seater state-of-the-art campus being built at a cost of approximately Rs 4 crore 37 lakh, the Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the work expeditiously, paying special attention to quality and time limit.
Chief Minister Sai stated that providing the state's youth with a better educational environment and the necessary resources for preparing for competitive examinations is a priority of the state government. The Nalanda campus will provide a modern and inspiring environment for study, guidance, and self-development. He stated that the campus will develop into an important center for students from Jashpur district and for youth preparing for competitive examinations. During the inspection, officials informed the Chief Minister that the plinth level work for the Nalanda campus has been completed, and the remaining construction work is progressing rapidly. The Chief Minister directed that the project be completed within the stipulated time frame while ensuring the quality of the work.
The Nalanda campus, under construction, is being developed keeping in mind modern educational needs. The campus will provide 24-hour study facilities for students. Indoor and outdoor study zones, an oxygen reading zone, a digital library, a Wi-Fi zone, and over 50,000 books related to competitive examinations will be provided. To make the campus environmentally friendly, a solar energy-based system will be developed and over 50 native plant species will be planted. Keeping in mind the holistic development of youth, facilities such as a youth tower, sports court, cafeteria, ATM, and health zone will also be developed on the campus. Additionally, smart features such as an RFID-based entry system, biometric identification system, and a modern book management system will transform it into a modern and technology-enabled learning center. The Chief Minister said that such innovative educational centers will provide better opportunities for youth to realize their dreams and will play a vital role in building a developed Chhattisgarh.
On this occasion, Pathalgaon MLA and Vice President of Surguja Tribal Development Authority, Smt. Gomti Sai, President of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Board, Shri Rampratap Singh, President of Chhattisgarh Matikala Board, Shri Shambhunath Chakraborty, District Panchayat President, Shri Salik Sai, District Panchayat Vice President, Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Municipal Council Vice President, Shri Yash Pratap Singh Judev, along with other public representatives and officials were present.
