Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agrawal said that all-round development of Lakhanpur is among the priorities of the government and through these projects the infrastructure of the city will be strengthened further. He expressed confidence that with the completion of these works, citizens will get better facilities and the overall development of the area will gain a new impetus. Taking an important step towards development in Nagar Panchayat Lakhanpur, today the formal Bhoomi Pujan of various development projects to be completed at a cost of Rs. 283 lakh was performed by Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal.

Minister Agarwal stated that the expansion and strengthening of infrastructure is expected to rapidly transform the Lakhanpur Nagar Panchayat in Chhattisgarh. He stated that the projects performed at the groundbreaking ceremony include various essential development works, including roads, drainage, and community infrastructure, which will not only meet the town's basic needs but also form the basis for future economic and social progress. With the implementation of these plans, Lakhanpur will emerge as a modern and well-organized city.

19.39 crore approved for Kochali Reservoir Scheme
Raipur. The Chhattisgarh Government, Water Resources Department has given administrative approval of Rs 19 crore 39 lakh for the works of Kochli Reservoir Scheme of Balrampur development block of Balrampur district. After the proposed works of the scheme, irrigation facility will be available in a total area of 500 hectares including Kharif in 350 hectares and Rabi in 150 hectares. Raipur. Chhattisgarh has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the first position in the entire country in the e-KYC work of workers under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA). According to the latest report released by the Government of India, e-KYC of 97.11 percent active workers has been completed in the state, which is the highest at the national level. The special thing is that Chhattisgarh has achieved this feat by surpassing small states like Keralam, Tripura, Mizoram and big states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.

Chhattisgarh has achieved a leading position in the country in completing the e-KYC process for workers under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA). Digital verification of over 58.16 lakh workers has been completed in the state, ensuring transparency in payments. This digital process is helping to eliminate fake job cards and directly transfer wages to the bank accounts of genuine beneficiaries. This achievement is the result of the able guidance of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the continuous leadership, monitoring, and effective strategy of Deputy Chief Minister and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. A planned campaign in the state accelerated the e-KYC process, enabling a large number of workers to be onboarded in a timely manner.
According to reports, out of a total of over 58 lakh active workers in Chhattisgarh, e-KYC has been successfully completed for over 56 lakh workers. This achievement not only demonstrates administrative efficiency but also marks a significant step towards digital empowerment in rural areas. Expressing his satisfaction with this achievement, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai stated that the state government is committed to protecting the interests of the poor and working class and ensuring transparent access to benefits from government schemes. Through e-KYC, workers are assured of timely payments and direct benefits from the schemes.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma stated that this achievement is the result of the coordinated efforts of state officials, employees, and village-level teams. He explained that e-KYC has not only prevented fake attendance on muster rolls but also brought transparency in the delivery of benefits to genuine beneficiaries. Congratulating all concerned officials, Mr. Sharma directed them to expedite the completion of the remaining pending cases and move the state towards the goal of 100% e-KYC. Governor Deka directed to strengthen security arrangements in factories to prevent accidents.
Raipur. Chhattisgarh Government's Chief Inspector of Factories, Mr. Him Shikhar Gupta, met Governor Ramen Deka today at Lok Bhavan. Raipur, April 24, 2026/ The Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department has stated that the state has adequate stocks of petrol and diesel, and supplies are completely normal. There is no shortage. It is noteworthy that in light of the situation in West Asia, the state government is in constant contact with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, to ensure uninterrupted supply of the state's fuel needs.
Food Department officials stated that the state has adequate stocks of LPG, petrol, and diesel. Weekly supply reviews are being conducted regularly to ensure that consumers do not face any problems. The government has appealed to citizens to ignore any rumors.
Adequate quantities of petrol and diesel are available at the 2,516 petrol pumps operating in the state and at the depots of the three major oil companies. In March 2026, 1.27 lakh kilolitres (126%) were supplied against the state's monthly petrol requirement of 1.01 lakh kilolitres. In April 2026, 1.60 lakh kilolitres of petrol had been received by April 23rd.
Similarly, in March, 3.00 lakh kilolitres (183%) were supplied against the 1.64 lakh kilolitres required, while in April 2026, 1.38 lakh kilolitres of diesel had been supplied by April 23rd. It is clear that supply is being ensured in accordance with demand in the state.
Officials stated that surprise inspections and raids are ongoing in all districts to curb hoarding and black marketing. Control rooms have been established from the state level to the district level. The department's call center (1800-233-3663) is also actively working to address complaints from citizens.
A review meeting was held on April 23, 2026, chaired by the Director of the Food Department, with representatives from the three oil companies. It was revealed that some industrial consumers are purchasing diesel from retail outlets, creating a temporary pressure. In response, the companies have been directed to ensure supply is in line with demand.
Currently, approximately 77,111 kiloliters of petrol is available in the state, equivalent to approximately 22 days' worth. Similarly, 84,295 kiloliters of diesel is available, sufficient for approximately 15 days' consumption. The government has reassured that the state has adequate stocks of petrol and diesel, and supplies remain completely normal.

On the event of Natioanl Panchayati Raj Day Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said the double-engine government is strengthening Panchayati Raj institutions to reinforce the foundation of a developed India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a new chapter of holistic rural development is being written nationwide. He was addressing the Panchayat Officers’ Conference held on Friday at DDU Auditorium in Raipur.
“Village development depends on the active role of Panchayat representatives, ensuring government schemes reach the last person,” said Shri Sai.
Sharing his journey, Chief Minister Shri Sai said he began his political career as a Panchayat representative, serving as a Panch and Sarpanch. He noted that grassroots experience in village development shapes effective leadership, with many public representatives rising from Panchayats to higher legislative bodies. Panchayats play a vital role in making villages clean, healthy, and beautiful, and that strong grassroots work leads to effective policymaking.
Highlighting key initiatives, he said under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, rural households are receiving permanent houses, while the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana has significantly improved village connectivity. Through Atal Digital Service Centres, services like banking, electricity bill payments, pensions, and insurance have become easily accessible, accelerating the rural economy. Construction of Mahatari Sadan for women is underway, with several already completed and benefiting women directly.
He urged Panchayat representatives to ensure regular monitoring of all activities for quality and timely completion of development works. Under Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0, the target is to provide clean drinking water to every household, where Panchayats have a crucial responsibility in ensuring timely implementation.
Referring to Sushasan Tihar, the Chief Minister said special camps will be organized to resolve public grievances. He called upon representatives to actively identify and address local issues through the initiative. Under the Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana, pending electricity bills can be cleared with full waiver of surcharge and additional concessions, and he urged representatives to maximize its benefits for villagers.
He assured that the state government will provide all necessary resources to strengthen panchayats and appealed to representatives to work proactively in their respective areas.

Keeping in view possible disruption in imported fertiliser supplies due to the ongoing tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran in West Asia, the Chhattisgarh Government has prepared a comprehensive strategy to ensure uninterrupted fertiliser availability for farmers during the upcoming Kharif season.
With the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Central Government has set a target of 15.55 lakh metric tonnes of fertiliser for Chhattisgarh for Kharif 2026. This includes 7.25 lakh metric tonnes of urea, 3 lakh metric tonnes of DAP, 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of NPK, 2 lakh metric tonnes of SSP and 80,000 metric tonnes of MOP.
At present, around 7.48 lakh metric tonnes of fertilisers are already available in warehouses and cooperative societies across the state. The government said every registered farmer will receive adequate fertiliser in a timely and transparent manner.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam stated that as of March 30, total fertiliser stock in the state stood at 7.48 lakh metric tonnes. This includes 2,43,717 metric tonnes of urea, 1,05,631 metric tonnes of DAP, 1,69,109 metric tonnes of NPK, 50,431 metric tonnes of MOP, and 1,78,657 metric tonnes of SSP.
The Minister added that, in view of the possible shortage of chemical fertilisers due to the situation in West Asia, farmers are being encouraged to adopt alternative nutrient options. The availability of NPK 12:32:16, NPK 20:20:0:13, green manure, organic manure, and nano fertilisers is being expanded across the state.
He further said the state government has issued directions for the formation of district-level flying squads and monitoring committees to prevent black marketing and hoarding of fertilisers. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found to be involved in irregularities.
Agriculture Production Commissioner Smt Shahla Nigar chaired a review meeting with officials of Raipur and Durg divisions regarding preparations for Kharif 2026. She instructed officials to complete farmer registrations on the Agristack portal through the PM-Kisan database at the earliest.
Officials were also directed to implement the new e-distribution system for seed and fertiliser supply. Farmers are being encouraged to use green manure, bio-fertilisers and blue-green algae as sustainable alternatives to chemical fertilisers.
She also ordered strict enforcement in districts to stop hoarding, diversion and black marketing of fertilisers. Under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (Price Support Scheme), procurement of pulses and oilseed crops has also been prioritised.
Further directions were issued to promote aromatic paddy varieties in every district, while expanding cultivation of pulses, oilseeds and horticulture crops such as oil palm, makhana and spices.

Raipur, April 24, 2026/ Taking seriously the increasing impact of the scorching heat and heat wave in the state, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has taken a quick and sensitive decision, considering the health and safety of children as paramount.
As per Chief Minister Sai's directives, all Anganwadi centers in the state will operate daily from 7:00 am to 11:00 am until June 30, 2026. During this period, children's attendance is only scheduled from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, to protect them from extreme temperatures and the ill effects of heat waves.
The Chief Minister has clarified that during this period, early childhood care and pre-school informal education (ECCE) activities of children will be conducted as per the prescribed timetable and calendar and distribution of supplementary nutrition will be ensured regularly, so that there is no hindrance in the nutrition and education of children.
As per the instructions, Anganwadi centers will open at 7:00 am, with children attending from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, while other services will continue until 11:00 am. During this time, Anganwadi workers and assistants will perform the remaining tasks according to their job charts.
The Chief Minister has also directed that nutrition counseling services be made more effective through home visits. To this end, Anganwadi workers will go door-to-door after the center closes, following the prescribed procedures, to educate mothers.
Giving strict instructions regarding the safety of children, the Chief Minister said that in the event of heat waves, high temperatures, and heat waves, children should be ensured to be safely transported home. In the event of any negligence, those concerned will be held accountable.

Taking serious note of the intense heatwave conditions in the state, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has taken a prompt and sensitive decision prioritizing the health and safety of children.
As per the Chief Minister’s directives, all Anganwadi centres across the state will operate from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM daily until 30 June 2026. Children’s attendance will be restricted to 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM to protect them from extreme heat and heatwave conditions.
The Chief Minister clarified that Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) activities will continue as per the prescribed schedule and calendar. Distribution of supplementary nutrition will also be ensured regularly, so that children’s nutrition and learning remain unaffected.
As per the revised schedule, centres will begin at 7:00 AM, with children present from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, while other services will continue till 11:00 AM. Anganwadi workers and helpers will carry out remaining duties as per their job charts during this period.
The Chief Minister further directed that nutrition counselling services be strengthened through home visits. Anganwadi workers will visit households after centre hours to raise awareness among mothers as per the prescribed process.
Issuing strict instructions on child safety, the Chief Minister emphasized ensuring safe transportation of children back home during extreme heat and heatwave conditions. Accountability will be fixed in case of any negligence.
Women & Child Development Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade has instructed all district officials to ensure continuous monitoring and regular review at the district level for effective implementation. She added that after the summer season, Anganwadi centres will resume normal timings from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM (6 hours) from 01 July 2026.

Raipur, / Keeping in mind the possibility of supply of imported fertilizers being affected amid the ongoing tension between America, Israel and Iran in West Asia, the state government is preparing a comprehensive strategy to ensure the supply of fertilizers.
Due to the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh has been allocated a target of 15.55 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer by the Central Government for the upcoming Kharif season 2026. This includes 7.25 lakh metric tonnes of urea, 3 lakh metric tonnes of DAP, 80 thousand metric tonnes of MOP, 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of NPK and 2 lakh metric tonnes of SSP.
Currently, approximately 7.48 lakh metric tons of fertilizer is available in warehouses and committees. The state government is striving to ensure that all farmers receive adequate amounts of chemical fertilizers with transparency.
Minister Shri Netam informed that as on March 30, a total of 7.48 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer is present in stock in the state, which includes 2,43,717 metric tonnes of Urea, 1,05,631 metric tonnes of DAP, 1,69,109 metric tonnes of NPK, 50,431 metric tonnes of MOP and 1,78,657 metric tonnes of SSP. Thus, a total of 7.48 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer is present in stock.
Minister Netam stated that in view of the potential shortage of chemical fertilizers due to the West Asian crisis, the department is encouraging farmers to use alternative fertilizers. As part of this effort, the availability of NPK 12:32:16, 20:20:0:13, green manure, organic fertilizers, and nano fertilizers is being increased.
Minister Netam said the state government has directed the formation of flying squads and monitoring committees at the district level to prevent the black marketing and hoarding of fertilizers. Strict legal action will be taken against those found involved in fertilizer misappropriation at any level.
Agriculture Production Commissioner Mrs. Shahla Nigar held a meeting with departmental officials from Raipur and Durg divisions regarding preparations for the upcoming Kharif season 2026. She instructed officials to expedite the registration of farmers from the PM Kisan Portal to the AgriStake Portal. She also directed the implementation of a new e-distribution system for seed and fertilizer distribution. Farmers should also be encouraged to use green manure, biofertilizers, and blue-green algae as alternatives to chemical fertilizers.
He directed districts to take strict action to prevent hoarding, black marketing, and diversion of chemical fertilizers. Procurement of pulses and oilseeds has also been prioritized under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (Price Support Scheme). He directed the promotion of aromatic rice varieties in every district, as well as the expansion of pulses and oilseeds, and the horticulture sector, including oil palm, makhana, and spice crops.
