Meanwhile, host Chhattisgarh's Siddharth Nagesh won gold in shot put and silver in discus throw, while Tilak Barset won silver in the men's 100m.

Shiv Kumar and Prithvi led from start to finish in their respective 100-meter races to win gold medals for their state. Shiv Kumar clocked 10.58 seconds, while Barset took silver with a time of 10.87 seconds. Odisha's Atish Kindo (10.91 seconds) won the bronze.

In the women's 100m final, 16-year-old Prithvi clocked her personal best of 12.73 seconds to win the gold medal. Nagaland's Ruduolhounuo Belho (12.90 seconds) and Jharkhand's Putul Bakshi (13.03 seconds) took the silver and bronze medals respectively.

Under the Poona Margem - Rehabilitation to Revitalization initiative in the Dandakaranya region, 25 Maoist cadres (including 12 women) have renounced the path of violence and returned to the mainstream. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai stated that today marks a historic turning point for Dandakaranya and the entire state of Chhattisgarh, as the ideology of violence and fear that has persisted for years has surrendered. He said this is a victory of trust, democracy, and people's power. The Chief Minister said that a total reward of ₹1.47 crore was announced on these 25 surrendered Maoist cadres. Their return to the mainstream is proof that the misguided people have now strengthened their faith in the democratic system and the government's rehabilitation policy. He said that as a result of the effective action of the security forces and the government's coordinated strategy, the Maoist network has been decisively weakened. In the same sequence, a major seizure of ₹14.06 crore along with 93 lethal weapons was also made, which clearly shows the weakening of the Naxalite network. Raipur—Chhattisgarh has established its unique identity across the country by achieving historic milestones in the current financial year under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana (Prime Minister Rural Housing Scheme). The state has not only achieved first place nationally by completing the highest number of housing constructions, but has also surpassed larger states like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Expressing delight at this achievement, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma extended his best wishes to the people of the state and beneficiaries.  

       He said that under the effective implementation of the scheme by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Chhattisgarh has also set an example of excellent financial management by incurring the highest expenditure in the country through 'SNA Sparsh'. This year also recorded the highest number of housing constructions in a single financial year since the scheme's inception in 2016, which reflects the state's efficiency and commitment.

       Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma stated that thousands of women have found employment through the supply of construction materials under the innovative "Awas Se Aajeevika" initiative. More than 9,000 Bihan Didis, having gained employment, are setting a new example of self-reliance by becoming "Lakhpati Didis." Furthermore, this year, more than 6,000 masons were trained through ITI, the highest in the country.

          It is noteworthy that these trained masons include 1,400 women and over 400 surrendered Naxalites, who are writing a new story of development by joining the mainstream. Large-scale individual work has also been undertaken through Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) to connect PM Awas Gramin beneficiaries with sustainable livelihoods, strengthening the rural economy.

Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the passing out parade of the Sub Inspector cadre held at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy in Chandkhuri. He inspected the parade and took the salute. On this occasion, he congratulated and wished the officers of Subedar, Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander cadre for successfully completing their training. A total of 859 trainees completed their training in this session, which includes 54 Subedars, 528 Sub Inspectors (GD), 02 Sub Inspectors (Computer), 01 Sub Inspector (Radio), 01 Sub Inspector (Fingerprint), 68 Sub Inspectors (SB) and 205 Platoon Commanders.

The Chief Minister also said that today's graduation ceremony is not just a departure from the academy, but a sign of entering the real field of work. He linked it to the Sanatan tradition of the 'Nishkraman' ritual, explaining that just as a child leaves home for the first time, these trainees are leaving the safe training environment and entering the service field with extensive responsibilities.
The Chief Minister stated that significant reforms have been made in policing in Chhattisgarh. In the past two years, the recruitment process has been made transparent and expedited, modern technology and equipment have been incorporated into the police force, and special units have been established to combat cybercrime. The training system has also been given a more practical and modern touch. He clarified that the police of the future will not only be a law enforcement agency, but will also function as a proactive service provider, requiring it to transform from a reactive to a proactive agency.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the country is currently undergoing a historic transformation, with new laws such as the Indian Judicial Code, the Indian Civil Defence Code, and the Indian Evidence Act replacing colonial laws. This convocation is of special significance as this is the first batch of sub-inspectors to receive training under these new codes. He expressed confidence that these officers will strengthen the justice system by effectively enforcing these laws.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is working on the three pillars of security, development, and trust, and the role of the police is crucial in strengthening these three pillars. He said that the police should not be limited to maintaining law and order, but should also connect with society and win the trust of the people, as territory can be won through fear, but hearts can only be won through trust.

Raipur. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Chhattisgarh has achieved remarkable success in rural housing construction, completing more than 600,000 houses in the current financial year 2025-26. This is the highest number of housing construction in the country this year.

This achievement was made possible through the strong and coordinated implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana. This has enabled the state to emerge as an effective model in the field of housing construction. To rapidly realize the goal of housing for all, 18 lakh houses were approved in the first cabinet decision of the current government. Currently, all eligible beneficiaries included in the survey list have been covered, ensuring that no eligible family is deprived of housing.

In the financial year 2025-26, 5.87 lakh houses were completed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, 13 thousand under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana, and more than 10 thousand under the Chief Minister's Housing Scheme. Effective coordination of the schemes has surpassed the target of more than 6 lakh houses. This achievement marks the highest number of houses completed in a single financial year in the state since the scheme's launch in 2016, reflecting swift implementation and effective monitoring.

Housing construction has also brought new momentum to the rural economy. Under the Dealer Didi model, more than 9,000 women self-help group members have become economically empowered by supplying housing construction materials and becoming Lakhpati Didis. Thousands of women self-help groups have also gained livelihood opportunities. Additionally, more than 6,000 masons have been trained, including over 1,200 Rani Mistris. Surrendered Naxalites have also been linked to this initiative, providing them with opportunities for respectable livelihoods.

To ensure transparency and accountability, the toll-free number 18002331290 is operational. Over the past 10 months, it has received over 1,500 complaints and suggestions, which have been promptly resolved. On the 7th of every month, Housing Day is held in all Gram Panchayats to address grassroots issues. Additionally, information is readily available at the Gram Panchayat level through a QR code-based information system. This Chhattisgarh model is no longer limited to housing construction, but is also establishing itself as an effective initiative towards women's empowerment, employment generation, inclusive development, and transparency.

Raipur. Blackbucks were released into their natural habitat at Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary to roam freely. A total of 34 blackbucks were successfully released into their natural habitat in two phases using scientific methods from the Blackbuck Conservation Center located in the sanctuary. This year, the target is to reintroduce 60 blackbucks.

The blackbuck translocation process was executed following completely scientific techniques, allowing the deer to be released into the forest area without any disturbance. The released deer have joined the blackbucks residing in the Rampur Grassland. Officials stated that this new group of blackbucks will bring positive changes to the area's ecosystem, and the Forest Department will continuously monitor them in the coming days. Blackbucks, once extinct from Chhattisgarh, will now thrive in their natural habitat through this reintroduction effort.

It is noteworthy that active efforts are being made for the conservation of blackbucks in Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary under the guidance of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Arun Pandey, under the able leadership of Chief Conservator of Forests Wildlife Satovisha Samjhaajar and by Divisional Forest Officer Dhammasheel Ganvir.

On this occasion, he said that the state government is continuously striving to connect the state's major cities with air services, so that the general public can also benefit from accessible air travel.

The Chief Minister stated that the Prime Minister envisioned that even a person wearing slippers should be able to travel by air, and this dream is now becoming a reality in Chhattisgarh. Congratulating the citizens of the Surguja region, he said that this important facility has been made possible through the efforts of public representatives and the regional MP. Direct connectivity to the capital, Delhi, and Kolkata, will boost trade, tourism, and economic activities in the region. He further stated that air services are being continuously expanded in the state, and night landing facilities have recently been introduced at Bilaspur Airport. The budget also includes provisions for the smooth operation of domestic air services through the CG Vayu Yojana. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma stated on this occasion that the operation of a 72-seater aircraft in Ambikapur (Darima) will further strengthen connectivity between Delhi, Ambikapur, and Kolkata. He commended the Chief Minister's efforts, stating that this has provided significant convenience to the state. He also informed that, along with the launch of night landing facilities in Bilaspur, air connectivity is also being expanded in Jagdalpur in southern Chhattisgarh. Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal and Surguja MP Shri Chintamani Maharaj also virtually congratulated the Chief Minister on this initiative. 
It is noteworthy that passengers will be able to travel in both directions as per the scheduled schedule, and the connectivity of the Bilaspur region will also be strengthened. Ambikapur, the headquarters of the Surguja division, is a major administrative, educational, and commercial center in northern Chhattisgarh. This region is rich in natural resources, forest wealth, and mineral deposits. Furthermore, tourist destinations like Mainpat, Tatapani, and various waterfalls offer immense tourism potential. The
launch of air service will connect the Surguja division directly to the national capital, Delhi. This will accelerate business activities, increase investment opportunities and provide a national market to local products.

Approval for civil and electrification work at the airport totaled ₹48.25 crore, ensuring all work has been completed in accordance with DGCA standards. A four-lane road leading to the terminal building has been constructed, along with parking for approximately 100 vehicles.

On this occasion, while wishing the Kayastha community, he said that the inauguration of this Mangal Bhawan in Chandkhuri, the holy land of Mata Kaushalya, is a matter of happiness and pride for the entire community. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Kayastha community has always been an enlightened and aware community, which has made significant contributions to the development of the country and the state. He said that this community has played an active role in various fields from governance and administration to social life, which is inspiring.The Chief Minister further stated that the state government's vision document is ensuring participation from all sections of society, and he is confident that the Kayastha community will play a key role in this. He said that this event symbolizes that when society works together, even the most ambitious goals can be achieved with ease.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, on this occasion, mentioned the expansion of connectivity in the state, stating that direct air service has been launched from Ambikapur to Delhi and Kolkata, which will greatly facilitate the travel of the people of the state. He added that the state government has made provision for the CG Vayu Yojana in its budget, under which all airports in Chhattisgarh will be developed. Cargo service has also been initiated, enabling farmers to easily transport their produce to national and international markets.
On this occasion, Shri Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman of the Civil Supplies Corporation, said that the construction of the Kayastha Mangal Bhawan symbolizes the fulfillment of an important social need. He said that this building has been built not for any one community but for the benefit of all. Social, cultural, and family events can be organized here, which will especially benefit the people of rural areas. He expressed confidence that this building will prove extremely useful for the general public and will also play an important role in the development of the region.

He added that the construction of this building on the sacred land of Mother Kaushalya is a matter of good fortune for all of us, and it will certainly prove useful for auspicious works.
