Raipur - Severe cold has once again begun to trouble people in several districts of Chhattisgarh, including the capital Raipur. After two days of slight relief, temperatures have again dropped. In many areas of the state, the minimum temperature has dropped below 10 degrees Celsius. The cold has intensified in the capital Raipur since Saturday night.
The Meteorological Department has predicted a cold wave in the state for the next two days, raising concerns among the public. Temperatures typically rise after Makar Sankranti, but this time the weather seems to be changing. The steadily falling temperatures have increased difficulties for farmers, laborers, and the elderly.
The Chhattisgarh Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave and severe cold alert in more than 10 districts, including Raipur and Bilaspur. The districts where the warning has been issued include Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Ambikapur, Korea, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Balrampur, Jashpur, Surguja, and Dantewada.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in these areas may drop further due to the cold wave. People have been advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions against the cold.
