Villagers are happy with the construction of the Polampalli to Aralampalli road.

Raipur: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the pace of development has accelerated in remote and Naxal-affected areas of Sukma district. The expansion of road connectivity has begun to bring positive changes to rural life. Under the guidance of Collector Shri Amit Kumar, road construction in the forest and Niyed Nellanar areas is being prioritized. The Public Works Department is constructing a 7-kilometer-long asphalted road from Polampalli to Aralampalli at a cost of over ₹4 crore. This road construction is nearing completion and will reduce the distance to the block headquarters, Konta, by approximately 15 kilometers.

This road connects formerly Naxal-affected villages like Dabbakonta, Kolaiguda, Antapad, Burkalnka, Palachalama, and Gattapad. Previously, poor roads and Naxal activities made commuting difficult, but now the situation has changed with the establishment of police camps and increased administrative activism. The Collector stated that providing road access to remote areas is a top priority for the administration. This road will not only facilitate transportation but also increase education, health, and employment opportunities. Local resident Madkam Bhima stated that the road has made Konta easier to reach. The villagers expressed their gratitude to the government and administration for this initiative.
