Bilaspur Constable Death Case: Order for magisterial inquiry into constable death…

Bilaspur Constable Death Case: Bilaspur. A magisterial inquiry will now be conducted into the death of a constable at Shriram Care Hospital in Bilaspur. Following protests and uproar by the family, the district administration has taken the matter seriously. A team of four doctors from SIMS conducted the post-mortem, which was also videographed. Both the administration and the family are now awaiting the post-mortem report. However, the family alleges negligence in the treatment of the kidney stone, while the hospital management maintains that the constable died of a heart attack, not negligence. Satyakumar Patle (36), a resident of Eramshahi village in the Masturi police station area, was a constable in the police department. He was posted at the Sarkanda police station. On April 26th, he suddenly experienced unbearable abdominal pain, after which he went to Shriram Care Hospital in Nehru Nagar for treatment.

After examination, the doctors diagnosed a kidney stone and advised surgery. The family alleges that Satyakumar's operation was performed without an incision at Shriram Care Hospital. He was perfectly fine until the day after the operation, but his condition suddenly deteriorated in the evening. It is alleged that no specialist doctor came to see him for nearly four hours. Due to the lack of timely treatment, his condition worsened, and he died on Friday afternoon. Upon learning of the incident, the family became enraged and created a ruckus in the hospital premises, leading to a tense situation. Seeing the situation, a large number of police and officials arrived at the scene. Meanwhile, the hospital director, Dr. Amit Soni, claimed that the patient died of a heart attack.
