More than 25,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizers are available, and the distribution system is under strict administrative supervision.

With the start of the 2026 Kharif season in Raipur, Mungeli district, the district administration and the Agriculture Department are working proactively to ensure timely and adequate availability of fertilizers and seeds to the district's farmers. As directed by Collector Shri Kundan Kumar, a robust system for the storage, distribution, and monitoring of chemical fertilizers has been established in the district, ensuring farmers do not face any difficulties in their farming activities. Currently, a total of over 25,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizers are available in the district, including cooperative, private, and double-lock centers. The cooperative sector has stored over 14,217 metric tons of fertilizers, including urea, DAP, NPK, SSP, and muriate of potash. The private sector has made 10,727 metric tons of fertilizer available. Additionally, double-lock centers have 4,208 metric tons of fertilizer safely available, while private wholesalers have 1,213 metric tons.
To ensure timely fertilizer availability to farmers, 5,668 metric tons of chemical fertilizer has been distributed through service cooperative societies and 6,829 metric tons through private vendors. Additionally, 12,412 quintals of seed, primarily paddy and pigeon pea seeds, have been stocked in 66 cooperative societies in the district. Approximately 1,500 quintals of seed is also available at over 200 private sector centers. The district administration has appealed to farmers that the district has adequate reserves of chemical fertilizers, and new shipments are constantly arriving. Therefore, they should ignore rumors or misleading propaganda and purchase fertilizer only as needed. The administration is fully committed to ensuring uninterrupted availability of fertilizer and seeds to farmers.
