People's representatives should work with dedication to improve basic amenities: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai
Chief Minister Shri Sai attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly formed Nagar Panchayat Shivnandanpur.
The Chief Minister visited the departmental stalls and benefited the beneficiaries of various schemes.
Raipur/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, during his visit to Surajpur today, attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected president and councilors of the newly formed Nagar Panchayat, Shivnandanpur. He congratulated and wished all the newly elected public representatives, including Nagar Panchayat President Shri Ritesh Jaiswal, and called upon them to work with dedication towards public service and development.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai presented an important gift to the residents of the area by announcing the construction of a well-furnished Mangal Bhavan in Ward No. 6 of the Nagar Panchayat Shivnandanpur. The citizens present expressed their joy and gratitude at the Chief Minister's announcement.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the granting of Nagar Panchayat status to Shivnandanpur fulfills a long-standing aspiration of the region. This will pave the way for planned urban development in the area and provide better infrastructure to the citizens. He said that the public has now made it their biggest responsibility to live up to the trust they have placed in their elected representatives.
The Chief Minister called on the newly elected public representatives to work with full dedication and commitment to improve electricity, water, roads, sanitation, and other basic amenities. He said that the state government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person. Public representatives should play a leading role in the effective implementation of public welfare schemes by becoming a bridge between the public and the government.
Chief Minister Shri Sai appealed to everyone to take maximum advantage of government schemes and to be aware of their rights and facilities. He said that citizens can register their complaints and problems through the Chief Minister's Helpline and the Chief Minister's Call Center. The government is committed to timely and effective resolution of public problems.
Addressing the gathering, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam said that the formation of Shivnandanpur as a Nagar Panchayat will provide a new direction for the overall development of the area. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, a new saga of development will be written in Shivnandanpur. He called upon the newly elected public representatives to fulfill the expectations of the people and work with full dedication for the development of the area.
Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade said that Shivnandanpur has received Nagar Panchayat status due to the efforts and visionary thinking of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. This is a historic step towards the development of the area, which will benefit citizens with better urban amenities and development works. She expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister for this.

After the swearing-in ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai along with the cabinet members visited the exhibition and awareness stalls set up by various departments.
At the stall of the Social Welfare Department, tricycles were provided to two disabled beneficiaries and keys of their new houses were handed over to three beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Khichdi, Halwa, Khurma, Burfi, Katua, Gulagula and ready-to-eat nutritious food prepared for the nutrition of children were displayed at the stall of the Women and Child Development Department. The Chief Minister observed the nutritious food and praised it. During this, the baby shower ceremony of three pregnant women and the Annaprashan ceremony of two children were also performed. The Chief Minister interacted with the beneficiary women of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and inquired about the benefits received from the scheme.
