Chief Minister Bishnu Dev Sai's great initiative for the dignity and financial security of employees
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today launched the Short Term Loan Scheme against Salary for Government Servants of the State in the Auditorium of Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. On this occasion, he also released the brochure of the scheme. Describing it as an important initiative of the state government in the direction of employee welfare, good governance and sensitive administration, the chief minister said that its aim is to provide dignified, prompt and easy financial assistance to government servants in emergency situations.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that government servants are the backbone of the state's development. When employees work free from financial worries, then the benefits of government schemes can reach the last person effectively. He said that now employees will not have to face the pressure of taking loans from private moneylenders or high interest rates for emergency needs. Keeping their needs in mind, the government has developed such a system, through which they will be able to get short-term loans as per their eligibility without unnecessary paperwork.
The Chief Minister said that the Finance Department has integrated this facility with the e-fund system using information technology effectively. This system is completely digital, paperless, secure and transparent and it will not bring any additional financial burden on the state government. He congratulated the team of the Finance Department for this innovative initiative and called upon all the government servants to play an active role in advancing the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh and good governance.
Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Chaudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is giving top priority to administrative reforms and employee welfare. He said that after implementing cashless medical facilities for employees, a short-term loan against salary scheme has now been started, which will provide interest-free financial assistance for immediate needs. He said that in just two months of the pilot phase, more than 73,000 employees have registered and 27,000 employees have benefited from this facility. In the future, it is also planned to provide loan facilities of higher amount at competitive interest rates to employees with better credit scores.
Provincial Coordinator of Chhattisgarh Employees-Official Association Mr. Kamal Verma expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that this scheme will meet the long-felt needs of the employees and provide them with dignified and prompt financial assistance in emergency situations.
It is noteworthy that this facility will be operated through a digital platform integrated with the e-Kosh system. Employees will be able to apply online from the employee corner of e-fund. After completion of e-KYC, digital verification and consent process, loan approval and disbursement will be done promptly. According to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Finance Department, compliance with high standards of data security, privacy and digital authentication has been ensured throughout the system.
