Raipur. Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwada has taken an important initiative towards strengthening sensitivity, transparency and accountability in the departmental administration and has issued strict instructions for timely resolution of retirement cases. She has said that it is the top priority of the department that the officers and employees who have given long service to the government should not face any kind of administrative difficulty at the time of retirement.
Minister Smt. Rajwade directed the Principal Secretary, Director of Social Welfare, and Director of Women and Child Development to ensure advance preparation of the cases of officers and employees retiring from the department. She clarified that the resolution of retirement orders, pensions, gratuities, leave encashment, and all other dues should be completed before the retirement date, so that all orders and payments are available to the employee on their retirement day. Smt. Rajwade stated that it has often been observed that delays in processing non-requisition certificates, service verification, and other necessary documents often cause unnecessary inconvenience to employees. In some cases, late submission of cases for administrative approval impacts payments and other benefits. Taking this seriously, she directed the adoption of a timely work culture at all levels.
The Minister has asked to implement a checklist-based monitoring system for retirement-related work at the government level, department head level and subordinate offices. A list of upcoming retiring government servants will be prepared in each office and their progress will be regularly reviewed so that no case remains pending. Mrs. Lakshmi Rajwade said that retirement is not just an administrative process, but an important milestone in an employee's life. Therefore, departmental officials must adopt a humane approach and ensure that retiring officers and employees receive all their statutory rights on time along with a respectful farewell.
