Seeing the growing potential in her business, she expanded her mushroom production with an additional investment of approximately 70,000 rupees. Today, she earns approximately 1.5 lakh rupees annually through mushroom production. This income has not only strengthened her family's financial situation, but has also made it possible to better educate her children, meet household needs, and save for the future. The inclusion of mushrooms in her family's diet has also positively improved their nutritional status.

Pushpa Saw says that if she hadn't received Bihan's guidance and support, her family would likely still be dependent on manual labor. Today, she runs her business with dignity and inspires other women in the village to pursue self-employment. She believes that proper training, benefits from government programs, and consistent hard work can bring positive change to anyone's life.

1Sonam Wangchuk: New Delhi. Activist Sonam Wangchuk decided to end his 26-day hunger strike without the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as his priority was to protect the protesters who took part in the Cockroach Janata Party's 'Sansad Chalo' march on Monday over alleged examination irregularities.

Wangchuk, 59, broke his fast shortly after midnight on Thursday after the central government gave written assurances that it would not file cases against protesters, would hold a detailed discussion on exam reforms and paper leaks in Parliament, and was considering compensating the families of students who committed suicide following the NEET paper leak.

What is the whole matter?

Wangchuk had been on an indefinite hunger strike since June 28 in support of members of the satirical political group CJP, who have gathered at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and are demanding accountability for alleged irregularities in competitive exams, reforms in the education system, and the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.

However, Wangchuk was criticized for ending the fast without Pradhan's resignation. In a YouTube video posted late Friday, he said that resignation was certainly a factor, but he did not demand it during talks with the central government because his priority was to prevent any legal action against the protesters.

In a 24-minute video recorded from his hospital bed, he clarified, "I personally do not consider it necessary for me to resign." Calling the resignation a trivial matter for the central government, he said that his refusal to do so was causing him significant losses. Wangchuk said his reputation was being tarnished across the country, and people were filled with anger and hatred. He expressed confidence that the Prime Minister would eventually resign.

Wangchuk said, "I knew the central government wouldn't be able to hold out like this for long and would resign sooner or later. I knew the resignation issue would resolve itself quickly because they were the ones bearing the consequences, so I didn't press it too hard."

He added, "My focus was on ensuring the students were not inconvenienced. My main concern was legal action and the FIR. I personally did not feel it necessary to secure the minister's resignation." He added that the ongoing movement would continue to raise this demand.

A befitting reply was given to the allegations of the deal

Sonam Wangchuk also dismissed allegations that he had struck a deal with the central government. He stressed that his primary goal was to ensure that students involved in the protests did not face violence or legal consequences.

He said, "Last night, around 12 o'clock, I was told that the minister had agreed to give written assurances. I was in a hurry because the situation in Delhi was such that I feared a major crackdown. I was watching the news and was reminded of September 24, 2025, when police and CRPF personnel brutally opened fire on young people in Ladakh. I feared something similar might happen here. I thought that if I ended my fast and appealed for peace, the situation might calm down."

Responding to criticism over ending his fast in the presence of Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, he said those questioning his decision were unaware of the circumstances he had to face after being removed from the protest site.

He asked, "If I had to make a deal, would I have gone hungry for 26 days? Couldn't I have just sat in an air-conditioned room and made a deal instead of fasting in the Delhi heat?"

Raipur. State Congress President Deepak Baij suspended his 18-hour sit-in at Khamhardih police station for a week after receiving a written assurance from the police that they would file charges against BJP workers accused of pelting stones at the Congress headquarters, Rajiv Bhavan. Raipur, July 24, 2026/ Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma today performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a 1.40 kilometer road and bridge from Amlidih village to Kamnabod in the Sahaspur Lohara development block of Kabirdham district, to be built at a cost of Rs 2 crore. He said that the construction of this road has been a major demand of the people of the area, and its completion will provide better transportation facilities to the villagers. On this occasion, he gave another gift to the villagers by announcing Rs 6.50 lakh for the construction of a building at the Sheetla Mata temple.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma gave clear instructions to the construction agency and contractor that all approved works, including roads, bridges, and culverts, be completed with high quality, in accordance with prescribed standards, so that the residents of the area can benefit from them for a long time. He said that these projects are being built for the convenience of the general public, and any kind of negligence or compromise on quality in the construction work will not be tolerated.

He said that the state government is prioritizing the development of basic amenities like roads, housing, electricity, irrigation, and drinking water for the overall development of rural areas. Since the formation of the government, construction work has been expedited by approving 1.8 million Prime Minister's Housing Schemes across the state, making the dream of a permanent home a reality for thousands of poor families.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that 255 Prime Minister's Housing Schemes have been approved in Amlidih and other dependent villages of Kuruva Panchayat over the past two years. This will provide safe and dignified housing to needy families. He added that along with housing, infrastructure is also being rapidly expanded in villages to ensure a better quality of life for the villagers.

Referring to improvements made to the power system, he said that a massive feeder separation campaign has been launched to ensure uninterrupted power supply in rural areas. Previously, eight to nine villages were connected to a single feeder, resulting in a technical fault in one village, affecting power supply to several villages. Now, this has been reduced to four villages per feeder, making it possible to quickly resolve faults and restore power quickly.

He informed that feeder separation work has been carried out in Amlidih at a cost of ₹52 lakh. Separate feeders have also been established for agricultural pumps, ensuring farmers receive regular and improved power supply for irrigation. 1.20 kilometers of LT cabling and a new 25 kVA transformer have been installed in the Amlidih settlement area at a cost of ₹7 lakh, providing improved electricity to domestic consumers.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that in addition to roads and electricity, several development projects, including concrete roads and check dams, have been approved in Amlidih. Completion of these projects will strengthen the village's basic infrastructure, boost agricultural activities, and positively improve the living standards of the villagers. CG SUSPEND NEWS: Balrampur. Vishnupad Mandal, Panchayat Secretary posted in Gram Panchayat Bhelwadih, has been suspended with immediate effect on the charge of illegal extortion in the name of making birth certificate. A departmental inquiry has also been initiated against him. A few days ago, an audio went viral. In this, the Panchayat Secretary was demanding Rs 200 in exchange for making an online birth certificate. Taking the complaint seriously, a two-member investigation team was formed at the district panchayat level and the matter was investigated.

The investigation made it clear that the act of the Panchayat Secretary falls under the category of misconduct in violation of the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Service Conduct Rules. Raipur . Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late-night video message, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai welcomed the central government's strong action against paper leaks. He said the Prime Minister's resolve to take strong action against paper leaks is unprecedented and will strengthen the confidence of millions of students across the country.

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has given a major indication regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), saying that a meeting of the committee headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai will be held soon. Based on the committee's recommendations, the government will move forward with the passage of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill in the upcoming winter session.

While talking to the media in Raipur before leaving for Karnataka tour, the Chief Minister said that the government is working seriously on this issue and after completion of the committee process, it is preparing to bring it in the winter session of the Assembly.

Raipur -  Guest teachers have announced the end of their 24-day strike. Guest teachers, who were protesting in Durg demanding equal pay for equal work, 12 months' honorarium, service security, merger, maternity leave, and other demands, held a press conference on Friday and announced the end of their protest.

However, the organization has clearly warned the government that if a positive decision is not taken on their demands soon, a state-wide protest will be resumed after September 5th.

Guest Teachers' Organization has been protesting in Durg for the past 24 days. The teachers' main demands include merger, service security, equal pay, and an increase in honorarium. During the protest, the teachers also surrounded the residence of School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav.

The decision was taken after the government's strictness.
Amidst the strike, the state government took a tough stand on Thursday and issued instructions to all district education officers. The School Education Department had clarified that all striking guest teachers should return to their schools and resume teaching by July 27th, otherwise their services would be terminated with immediate effect.

The Directorate of Public Instruction issued an order stating that the strike, at the very beginning of the academic year, was disrupting students' studies, which was not in their best interest.

Instructions to Join Duty by July 27th:
The government had instructed school management committees to direct guest teachers to return to work by July 27th. If any teacher does not return by the stipulated deadline, their teaching arrangement will be terminated under Clause 7.3 and alternative arrangements will be made.

Currently, with the end of the strike, normal teaching in government schools is expected, but teachers have made it clear that if their demands are not met, the agitation will be intensified again after Teachers' Day.

Raipur. Nominations have been invited for the Prime Minister's National Child Award-2026 with the aim of honouring the extraordinary talent, innovation, courage and social contribution of children at the national level. The Women and Child Development Department has appealed to the talented children, parents, educational institutions and social organisations of the state to apply in maximum numbers.The Prime Minister's National Child Award is considered the country's highest child honor, given to children who have achieved outstanding achievements in fields such as bravery, social service, environmental protection, sports, arts and culture, and science and technology. This prestigious award is conferred by the President of India.
According to departmental information, children between the ages of 5 and 18 are eligible for the award. The deadline for nominations is July 31, 2026. Interested children can apply themselves. Parents, schools, social organizations, and other individuals can also nominate eligible children. All applications will be accepted online through the National Awards portal. The state government has urged innovative, talented, and inspiring children from the state to take advantage of this opportunity and apply within the stipulated timeframe to have their achievements recognized nationally. Raipur, July 2026/The historic Rath Yatra of Amlipada symbolizes Chhattisgarh's rich cultural heritage and social harmony. Lord Jagannath gives the message of inclusiveness and public welfare. He prays that the Lord's blessings remain with the people of the state forever. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai made these remarks while addressing the grand celebration of Lord Jagannath's historic Rath Yatra held in Amlipada, Gariaband district, today.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai participated in the Rath Yatra festival today and prayed to Lord Shri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra and wished for happiness, prosperity, peace and well-being for the people of the state. Present on the occasion were Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, Vice President of Chhattisgarh Gau Seva Aayog Shri Rajiv Lochan Maharaj and several public representatives.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is working tirelessly with a commitment to development and public welfare. The government's priority is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society and bring positive change to the lives of every citizen.

Electricity bill settlement scheme extended till September

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the deadline for the Chief Minister's Electricity Bill Settlement Scheme, which was set for June, has been extended by three months to September for the convenience of consumers. He appealed to the public to take maximum advantage of this scheme.

He said that the government is taking decisions with sensitivity to reduce the economic burden on the common citizens and provide them relief.

The Chief Minister said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is a historic initiative towards the economic empowerment of women. Through this scheme, funds are transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible women every month, empowering women to become self-reliant and play a vital role in strengthening their families' finances.

He said that empowerment of women is the strongest foundation of developed Chhattisgarh and the state government is continuously working in this direction.

Government committed to quick solution of public problems

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the state government is working around the clock to quickly resolve citizens' problems. He stated that the government is ensuring immediate action on complaints received, and that he personally reviews them daily. He added that more than 42,000 complaints have been successfully resolved so far, a testament to the government's commitment to good governance.

A bridge will be built over the Baltijor drain.

Accepting a long-standing demand from the area's residents, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai announced the construction of a bridge over the Baltijor drain. He said the bridge would provide easy and safe transportation throughout the year for the residents and provide significant relief to villagers in accessing essential services like education, health, and markets.

The Chief Minister had a cordial conversation with the children

During the Rath Yatra, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai stopped his convoy and had a cordial meeting with the students of Saraswati Shishu Mandir. He spoke with the children about their studies, future plans, and school activities. The Chief Minister encouraged the students and, at their request, even took a selfie with them. This easygoing and affectionate demeanor of the Chief Minister was a special attraction for those present.

Participation of a large number of devotees

Thousands of devotees enthusiastically participated in the Rath Yatra. Religious rituals, devotional music, and chants filled the entire Amlipada with a devotional atmosphere. Collector Mr. B.S. Uikey, Superintendent of Police Mr. Vedvrat Sirmour, along with other public representatives, administrative officials, and a large number of devotees were present at the event.
