Raipur. In response to complaints and controversies surrounding DJ and Dhumal music during the wedding season in Raipur, a state-level meeting was held for the first time in the state between police officers and DJ and Dhumal operators. In the meeting, DJ operators discussed with the administration and assured them of abiding by the regulations and resolved not to play DJ and Dhumal music after 10 pm.
DJ and Dhumal operators clearly stated that they would follow all regulations set by the administration to avoid any problems or disputes during weddings and other events. They also stated that they would adhere to regulations related to noise pollution and raise awareness among other operators. It was decided in the meeting that DJ and Dhumal music would not be played after 10 pm at any function or event. This decision was taken keeping in mind noise pollution and law and order. Operators stated that they would play DJ music only within the established standards.
