Raipur, April 29, 2026/ For Padma Kashyap, who lives in Balenga, a small village nestled in the dense forests of Bastar, the past few years have been filled with darkness and uncertainty. But today, there's a smile on Padma's face, and hope shines through her small home. This change has come about thanks to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai's "Electricity Bill Payment Solution Scheme 2026."

Shadows of darkness amidst conflict

Padma's story is one of struggle and perseverance. After losing her parents at a young age, Padma was left alone at home. With no stable source of income, meeting life's basic needs was a daunting challenge. Amidst this financial hardship, the household electricity bill swelled to ₹9,000. For an orphaned daughter struggling to make ends meet, paying such a substantial amount was impossible. Unable to pay the bill, the household's electricity was on the verge of being cut off, and Padma's future was bleak.

The scheme gave new life

When Padma learned about the state government's electricity bill payment settlement scheme, she saw a glimmer of hope. Given the sensitivity of Padma's case, the scheme provided direct relief of Rs. 4,000 on her outstanding bill. This wasn't just a monetary relief, but a way to make an orphaned daughter feel that her government stood by her. With this assistance, Padma was able to pay her remaining dues and avoid power outages in her home.

Sharing her joy, Padma says, "When the bill reached 9,000, I thought my house would never be illuminated again. But Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai's scheme helped me. The 4,000 rebate is a huge deal. Today, my house is illuminated again, and I sincerely thank the Chief Minister for this."

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh Government has taken a major and decisive step by adopting technology and innovation to curb illegal mining and unlawful transportation of minerals. As part of this initiative, drone surveillance has now been introduced in mining areas, proving to be an important measure for maintaining law and order, protecting mineral resources, and safeguarding government revenue.

The state government has made its intentions clear that all forms of illegal activity must be eliminated at the root. With the use of modern technology, real-time monitoring in mining zones is now possible, enabling immediate action against illegal excavation, transportation, and related operations. This step will not only prevent revenue losses but also send a strong message to those involved in unlawful trade. Field teams of the Mineral Resource Department had already been taking effective action against illegal mining. However, with the addition of drone technology, both the speed and accuracy of enforcement have increased significantly. Drones can monitor areas within a range of nearly five kilometres and at heights of up to 120 metres, allowing close watch over large and difficult geographical regions. Through drone surveillance, suspicious activities can be identified instantly and action can be taken on the spot, sharply reducing the chances of offenders escaping.

According to officials of the Mineral Resource Department, the drones are equipped with high-resolution cameras, night vision capability, and AI-based analytical systems, ensuring broad and precise surveillance. Even large and remote mining locations can now be monitored with ease.

This initiative clearly reflects that the state government is working with a policy of “zero tolerance” against illegal mining. The bold decision will not only ensure strict compliance with the law but will also strengthen mineral conservation and create a transparent revenue system. The new drone surveillance arrangement is emerging as a strong example of good governance and technological innovation in the state.

In continuation of this drive, on April 29, 2026, intensive surveillance and a raid operation were conducted using drone technology in the Tehkapaar sand mine area of Kanker district. During the operation, vehicles and equipment involved in illegal excavation and transportation were identified. As soon as drone monitoring began, those engaged in illegal activities abandoned their vehicles and fled the spot.

Thereafter, under the direction of the central flying squad and the Collector (Mining Branch), a special operation was carried out near the banks of the Mahanadi River at the Bhui Gaon boundary. During the action, one chain-mounted Poclain machine JCB (215 LC) and one Hyva vehicle bearing registration number CG08AV0975 were seized.

Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, hailed the efforts of the Chhattisgarh government for the effective implementation of the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin (VB-G RAM G) Act, 2025.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, he stated that Chhattisgarh is undertaking well-planned and strategic initiatives to ensure the scheme’s provisions outreach at the grassroots, reflecting its commitment to rural development.

Shri Chouhan particularly appreciated the extensive public awareness campaigns being conducted through village meetings, Gram Sabhas, and social media. He described the installation of QR codes in every Gram Panchayat as an innovative step that will simplify access to information, enhance transparency, and strengthen monitoring.

He also highlighted effective inter-departmental coordination for the holistic development of forest regions and especially vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs), reflecting an inclusive and sustainable development approach. He noted that for the financial year 2025–26, the labour budget for Chhattisgarh under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme has been increased from 850 lakh person-days to 1250 lakh person-days, considering the rising trend in employment generation, calling it a positive outcome of the state’s sustained efforts.

The Union Minister expressed confidence that under the capable leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state administration will continue working with the same commitment and energy, accelerating rural employment and livelihood generation while ensuring development benefits reach the last mile.

Raipur. The results of the 2026 high school and higher secondary main examinations conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) will be declared tomorrow, April 29. School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav will release the results at 2:30 pm in Room No. S-2-12 of the Ministry, Mahanadi Bhawan, Atal Nagar, Raipur.

According to board officials, students will be able to check their results online as soon as they are released. The board has made arrangements for this on several official websites, so that students do not face any difficulties.

Candidates can access their results on the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education website and other portals by entering their roll number. Students can log in to https://cg.results.nic.in , https://cgbse.nic.in , https://results.cg.nic.in , and https://results.digilocker.gov.in to access their results.

Apart from this, the exam results will also be available on media and education portals like The Times of India, TV9 Bharatvarsh, The Indian Express, Jagran Josh and NDTV.

Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of development works worth Rs. 809.71 lakh
Raipur. With an aim to give new heights to the development of Narayanpur Vidhansabha constituency of Bastar district, State Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap gave a big gift to the people of Narayanpur area today. Shri Kashyap said that expansion of roads, education and basic facilities is the top priority of our government. Minister Shri Kashyap performed Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of various infrastructural works costing a total of Rs. 8 crore 09 lakh 71 thousand in grand programs organized in Baniyagaon and Bhanpuri cluster under the Vidhansabha constituency.

Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap laid the foundation stone for works worth Rs 1 crore 47 lakh 76 thousand to improve the connectivity of the area in a program organized in Baniyagaon in the morning and dedicated the completed works to the public. This mainly included the ground breaking ceremony of the Baniyagaon to Kuchhiguda road to be built at a cost of Rs 1 crore 27 lakh 76 thousand under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, while the CC road of Turpura and the compound construction work of Kesharpal completed through Bastar Development Authority were inaugurated.

During his visit, the Forest Minister witnessed a major development initiative at the second phase of the program held in Bhanpuri this afternoon. Development projects worth a total of ₹66.1 million (61.95 million rupees) were approved. This included a network of roads from Bhanpuri to Paderpara, Farsaguda to Khaspara, and the Bhanpuri-Chitrakoot road to Dhanwadpara under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, to be built at a cost of ₹62.3 million (62.3 million rupees). The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a prayer shed at Murkuchi High School, along with the inauguration of newly constructed concrete roads and culverts in the Bhanpuri, Taragaon, and Vishrampuri clusters under the MLA fund and the Development Authority, brought significant relief to the residents of the area.
Addressing the villagers, the Forest Minister emphasized that his goal is not merely to make announcements, but to implement development on the ground. The roads and buildings for which the groundbreaking ceremony took place today will transform the economic and social landscape of the region in the future. Good roads not only facilitate transportation but also facilitate the villagers' access to education and health services. Forest Minister Mr. Kashyap said that we are constantly striving to connect every village of Narayanpur Assembly with the mainstream of development. Referring to the public welfare schemes of the state government, he assured the villagers that the development works will be completed as per the wishes of the villagers. Raipur. In a major relief to the general public, the Chhattisgarh government has abolished the 0.60 percent cess levied on the registration of immovable property. This decision, taken under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, is effective immediately. With the notification of the Chhattisgarh Cess (Amendment) Act, 2026, the cost of property registration will now be reduced.

The Chief Minister said that the government's objective is not only to increase revenue, but also to simplify and make life affordable for the general public. This decision will directly benefit farmers, middle-class families, and millions of people involved in property purchases and sales. Now the registry process will be more accessible, simple, and cost-effective.

Registration Minister OP Chaudhary stated that the Chhattisgarh Cess (Amendment) Bill, 2026, was passed during the budget session. Upon notification, the additional 0.60 percent cess levied on the registration of immovable property was completely abolished.

He said this decision is particularly beneficial for middle- and lower-income families. For example, a property valued at ₹1 crore will now result in a direct savings of approximately ₹60,000. This will also bring transparency and speed to the property market.

It is noteworthy that in 2023, the then government imposed this cess to fund the Rajiv Gandhi Mitra Club and the Employment Mission. In 2024-25, the government received approximately ₹148 crore in revenue from this cess, while in the current financial year, ₹150 crore has been received so far. Despite this, the government has decided to waive this revenue in the public interest. This decision is expected to boost property registration in the state and provide a new impetus to economic activity.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government has developed a robust and sensitive social security system for the elderly. Under the guidance of Social Welfare Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, departmental schemes are being effectively implemented on the ground. These efforts are empowering senior citizens economically, socially, and emotionally.
Simple Process, Easy Benefits
: Senior citizens in the state do not require a separate senior citizen card to avail benefits of schemes. Benefits are provided directly after verifying age and eligibility through Aadhaar card and other valid documents, making the entire process transparent, simple, and accessible.
Old Age Homes: The Foundation of a Respectable Life
The 27 old age homes operating in various districts, including the state capital Raipur, have emerged as safe havens for destitute and helpless senior citizens. Currently, 675 senior citizens are benefiting from this program. Free housing, nutritious food, clothing, and other essential amenities are regularly provided, allowing them to live a dignified life.

Palliative Care:
Thirteen palliative care homes operate in the state to provide specialized care to the seriously ill and bedridden elderly. Currently, 140 senior citizens are benefiting from these centers in Raipur, Kabirdham, Durg, Balod, Raigarh, and Bemetara. These centers provide ongoing care, treatment support, and essential services, ensuring a humane and dignified life even in vulnerable situations. Old

Under Social Security, a foundation of economic support, eligible senior citizens are provided a regular pension. Senior citizens in the BPL and SECC disadvantaged groups receive a pension of ₹500 per month, and those over 80 receive ₹680 per month. This assistance strengthens their self-reliance and self-respect in their daily lives.
Assistive Devices and Pilgrimage: A New Energy Infusion
Under the Assistive Devices for Senior Citizens Scheme, the state government is providing assistive devices as needed to destitute senior citizens aged 60 years and above living below the poverty line. Under this scheme, devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, hearing aids, spectacles, tricycles, and other essential items, up to a maximum of ₹6,900, are provided based on medical advice, making their lives more comfortable. The pilgrimage scheme to 19 major pilgrimage sites provides opportunities for spiritual and mental balance, which infuses new energy into their lives. In the financial year 2025-26, 14 pilgrimages benefited 10,694 beneficiaries. The Chhattisgarh government's

Raipur. Under the visionary initiative of Chhattisgarh Government, when the responsibility of local production and distribution of nutritious food to be distributed in Anganwadi centres was handed over to women self-help groups, then no one had thought that this step would bring such a big change in the lives of women. Earlier this work was done through Seed Development Corporation, but to make women self-reliant and to increase livelihood opportunities at local level, this important responsibility was given to women self-help groups. This change became the basis of their success story.

To implement this in Korba district, selected women self-help groups were provided specialized training in production techniques, quality control, packaging, and management. Modern production units were also established. Equipped with machinery, packaging equipment, and storage facilities, these units provided both a new workplace and a new perspective for rural women. When production began, women groups handled all responsibilities—raw material preparation, production, packaging, storage, quality testing, and transportation—with remarkable efficiency. Women received priority not only among group members but also among support staff, further expanding employment opportunities.

Working daily in these units rapidly enhanced the women's skills. They became decision-makers, not just participants. Their management skills improved, their leadership skills blossomed, and their collective decision-making power strengthened. Most importantly, these women now played a leading role in their families' economic activities. Regular income from producing nutritious food brought stability to the women's lives. Economic empowerment strengthened their families' positions and their self-confidence increased exponentially.

Women's groups are now providing quality take-home rations to approximately 72,000 beneficiaries. This will not only ensure timely supplies to Anganwadi centers but also demonstrate that village women are skilled and capable of handling any important responsibility with excellence.

Raipur: Through its collective efforts, hard work, and vision, the Gramodaya Weavers Cooperative Society has created a success story that not only symbolizes economic progress but also demonstrates that rural women, given the opportunity and support, can achieve remarkable success in any field. Today, the small village of Nari in Dhamtari district is a remarkable confluence of self-reliance, tradition, and innovation. Once a village with limited resources and opportunities, this village has now become an inspiring example of rural development and women's empowerment.

A new beginning rooted in tradition

Weaving wasn't a primary occupation in Nari village before, but the committee ventured into the field after seeing a growing demand for Sambalpuri saris in the neighboring state of Odisha. Sambalpuri saris are known for their distinctive ikat designs and vibrant colors, requiring a high degree of skill and patience to create.

Strong government support

To make the society self-reliant, the Chhattisgarh government is regularly supplying yarn under the Government Textile Production Program, providing regular employment to the weavers and financial assistance in the form of service charges for the smooth functioning of the societies. Furthermore, innovative weaving training and the distribution of new looms to the weavers have increased production capacity. This support has empowered the society financially and enabled it to produce textiles that meet market demand.

Growing market and income

Today, the saris produced by the Gramodaya Weavers Cooperative Society (Gram Nari) are sold primarily in Odisha markets. Currently, the society produces 300-400 saris per month, bringing its monthly turnover to approximately 300,000 to 400,000 rupees, a significant achievement at the rural level.

Women's Empowerment

This initiative has not only increased income sources but also given women economic independence and developed collective decision-making capabilities. Women who were previously unfamiliar with this work have now become skilled weavers and are confidently contributing to production. Women who previously earned 300-350 rupees per day from government textile production are now earning 550-600 rupees. In the future, with additional skill-upgrading training and expertise, they will be able to earn 1000-1200 rupees per day.

Future Direction

Today, this village women's cooperative is moving strongly toward self-sufficiency. With further support through branding, digital marketing, and access to new markets, it could achieve even greater recognition. This story demonstrates that when government support and community hard work come together, even small villages can become great examples of success.

Raipur, Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee constituted for the Chhattisgarh State Climate Change Action Plan, held at Mahanadi Bhawan on April 27. He directed officials to prepare Gram Panchayat-wise climate action plans to make rural areas of Chhattisgarh resilient to climate change. He also asked departments to propose effective utilisation of available CSR funds for climate-related programmes in the state.

Discussions focused on the functioning of the Chhattisgarh State Climate Change Centre, the implementation of climate programmes across the state, the formation of the State Climate Change Authority, and the execution of carbon credit-based initiatives. Departmental secretaries also reviewed detailed strategies for implementing sector-wise climate action plans.

Additional Chief Secretary, Forest and Climate Change Department, Smt. Richa Sharma presented an overview of climate change, its major causes, and the adverse effects already being observed in Chhattisgarh. Senior forest officials, including PCCF Shri Srinivas Rao and APCCF Shri Sunil Mishra, were present.

Chhattisgarh Ranked First in India in Tree Cover Growth

Officials of the State Climate Change Centre informed that several climate-focused initiatives are underway, with large-scale plantation drives being a key component. Under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, nearly 7 crore saplings have been planted. Under the Kisan Vriksh Mitra Yojana, 3.68 crore saplings have been planted. According to ISFR 2025, Chhattisgarh recorded the highest increase in forest and tree cover in the country, adding 683 square kilometres, securing the top national rank. Officials said the public is encouraged to adopt electric vehicles, while solar pumps are being distributed to farmers to promote the use of clean energy.

Officials informed that the state is actively promoting organic farming. During 2025–26, organic cultivation was undertaken on around 55,050 hectares of land. More than 300 dams in the state have undergone hydrological planning, while sedimentation surveys of 24 major and medium reservoirs have already been completed. Officials also shared suggestions for establishing a dedicated Climate Change Knowledge Centre in the state.

Abandoned traditional farming and adopted flower cultivation, earning more profits at lower costs

One farmer's success inspires other farmers in the village to follow suit

Raipur,/ Compared to traditional farming (wheat-paddy), flower cultivation is giving 3-4 times more profit at lower cost. Due to the demand for flowers like marigold, rose and chrysanthemum throughout the year, farmers are earning bumper profits every season. Starting with low capital, this business is giving a net profit of lakhs of rupees per hectare, making farmers financially self-reliant. Flowers are in demand throughout the year in weddings, parties, festivals and religious events, which fetches good prices.

Taking advantage of state government schemes, farmers in Raigarh district are now moving beyond traditional farming and turning to horticultural crops. In this regard, Shri Ishwarcharan Paikra, a farmer from the village of Gamekera in the Lalungha development block, has significantly increased his income by adopting floriculture under the National Horticulture Mission. His success is becoming a source of inspiration for everyone.

Mr. Paikra previously cultivated rice traditionally, but his income was limited compared to his hard work. In 2025-26, under the guidance of the Horticulture Department, he began cultivating marigold flowers on 0.400 hectares of land. With the department's technical support and necessary guidance, he practiced farming scientifically, yielding extremely positive results. While he previously produced approximately 11 quintals from rice cultivation and a limited income, he now produces approximately 38 quintals from flower cultivation. His total income from this production has reached approximately 304,000 rupees. After deducting costs, he earned a net profit of approximately 259,000 rupees, which is many times higher than traditional farming.

Mr. Paikra's confidence has increased after his success in floriculture. He says that due to the high profits he can generate in a short time, he plans to expand his farming business. The colorful rows of marigold flowers blooming in his field today tell the story of his hard work and success. Seeing his achievements, other farmers in the village are now attracted to horticultural crops and are being encouraged to adopt floriculture by contacting the department. Thus, the state government's schemes are not only helping to increase farmers' incomes but also bringing positive changes to the nature of agriculture.

Raipur, /Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today participated in the 9-day long Shri Ram Katha organized at Ram Milenge Ashram, Tenduwa Dham Kuriari, located in Shivrinarayan of Janjgir-Champa district. He reached the Ashram with his wife, Smt. Kaushalya Sai, performed the rituals of worship and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. During this, he received blessings from Padma Vibhushan awardee Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Maharaj.

In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the sacred land of Chhattisgarh has always been blessed by the feet of Lord Shri Ram. Referring to Lord Shri Ram's arrival during his exile and the amazing devotion of Mother Shabari, he said that this land has preserved a unique tradition of faith, dedication, and belief. He said that Tenduvadham is today becoming a major center of religious and cultural awakening, where thousands of devotees are listening to the Shri Ram Katha together.

Describing the occasion as extremely fortunate, the Chief Minister said that receiving the company and blessings of so many saints from a single platform is a special experience. He expressed his gratitude to the Ashram management and associates for the inauguration of various religious and cultural institutions on the Ashram premises, including the Harivansh Dispensary and Panchakarma Center, Shri Ram-Janaki Mandapam, Harivansh Vedic School, Maa Durga Cow Temple, and Hanuman Entrance Gate.

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh, besides being the "rice bowl," is also a land of service, dedication, and faith. He mentioned the arrival of 11 trucks of rice and a team of doctors from Chhattisgarh during the construction of the Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, calling it a symbol of the deep devotion of the people of the state. He said that after a long wait of almost 500 years, Lord Shri Ram has been seated in the grand temple, which is a symbol of the cultural unity and pride of the country. He said that through the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, thousands of devotees are benefiting by visiting Ayodhya Dham.

Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the indomitable courage of the soldiers, Naxalism has been eradicated from the state, and peace, development, and social harmony are being given top priority. He said that "Chhattisgarhiya Sable Badhiya" (Chhattisgarhi Sabse Badhiya) is the true identity of the state's culture and values.

Steering Committee meeting for Climate Change Action Plan concludes

Raipur, April 27, 2026/Chief Secretary Mr. Vikassheel said that action plans should be made village-wise to make the rural areas of the state climate change-resilient. It should be proposed to use the available CSR funds for climate change programs in the state. The meeting of the steering committee constituted for the action plan on climate change of Chhattisgarh state was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr. Vikassheel at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan.

In the meeting, discussions were held regarding Chhattisgarh State Climate Change Centre, State's action plan on climate change, implementation of climate change related programmes in the state and formation of State Climate Change Authority and implementation of carbon credit based programmes in the state. Detailed discussions were held with the departmental secretaries regarding implementation of action plan on climate change. In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of Forest and Climate Change Department, Mrs. Richa Sharma gave information regarding the background of climate change, factors of climate change and negative impact of climate change in Chhattisgarh state as well. PCCF Shri Srinivas Rao, APCCF Shri Sunil Mishra participated in the meeting.

Chhattisgarh ranks first in the country in tree cover

Officials of the Chhattisgarh State Climate Change Centre informed that various works related to climate change are being carried out in the state. These mainly include tree plantation work. Nearly 7 crore saplings have been planted under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam scheme. 3 crore 68 lakh trees were planted under the Kisan Vriksha Mitra scheme. Officials informed that according to ISFR 2025, the highest increase of 683 kilometres has been achieved in the forest and tree cover of the state, which is at the first position in the country. Under climate change in the state, the general public is being encouraged to drive e-vehicles. Solar pumps are being distributed to farmers.

Officials stated that organic farming is being promoted in the state. In the year 2025-2026, approximately 55,050 hectares of land will be cultivated organically. Hydrological planning for more than 300 dams in the state, along with sedimentation surveys for 24 large and medium reservoirs, has been completed. Officials expressed their views on establishing a climate change knowledge center in the state.

In the meeting, officials of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Forest and Climate Change, Water Resources, Urban Administration, Transport, Commerce and Industry, Minerals, Energy, Health and Family Welfare Department, Revenue and Disaster Management, Women and Child Development and Panchayat and Rural Development Department presented information of their respective departments regarding the implementation of Climate Change Action Plan.

The livelihood of the 'Sai Baba Group' is increasing in construction works.

Raipur, April 27, 2026 / The Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihoods Mission, known as "Bihar," is a flagship program to reduce poverty and economically empower women in rural areas. It is implementing the Government of India's Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission in Chhattisgarh. The mission is to create sustainable and diversified self-employment opportunities for rural poor families, especially women, to increase their incomes.

The "Bihan" (Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission) scheme, which strengthens the rural economy in Chhattisgarh, is becoming a major vehicle for social and economic change in the lives of women. Sakina, a resident of Daargaon in the Udaipur development block of the Sahara Livelihood Cluster, has become a source of inspiration for other women. Sakina, who once dreaded going to the bank, is now not only running her own business through a self-help group but also setting a new example of self-reliance.

The wonder of convergence: Mixer machine received from DMF item

The coordination of various government schemes is bringing about significant changes at the grassroots level. In this regard, the district administration initiated the distribution of cement mixer machines to groups under the DMF. One of these machines was received by the Ramgarh Village Organization's Sai Baba Group, of which Sakina is a member. Under this program, financial assistance and training are provided to promote entrepreneurship in rural areas.

Increased participation in construction works, increased income

Sakina explained that she had taken a loan of 60,000 rupees from the group to expand her livelihood. The mixer machine and shuttering plates received by the group have now become her main source of income. Currently, there is a huge demand for their mixer machines and shuttering plates for the Prime Minister's Housing Project being built in rural areas. She explained that after deducting transportation and other expenses, the group is currently earning 6,000 to 7,000 rupees per day.

A journey full of confidence: The hesitation of going to the bank is over

Sakina credits the Bihan scheme for her success, saying, "I used to be afraid to even go to the bank, but after joining the group, I've become more aware and proactive. Now I don't need to beg anyone; I'm self-sufficient. Now I inspire other sisters to become self-reliant."

Foundation for a bright future for children

Sakina's financial strength has had a direct impact on her family. Her daughter is now in college, and her son is in high school. Sakina says that with financial independence, her children's education is running smoothly and without any obstacles. By empowering women to become self-reliant, efforts are being made to increase their annual income to over 1 lakh rupees.

Narayanpur’s remote villages get doorstep services through Sushasan Express

Raipur April 27, 2026// For many families in Narayanpur’s interior villages, official documents were once out of reach, not by choice but by distance. Long journeys, poor roads and security concerns kept services away. The Sushasan Express, a mobile governance unit introduced by the district administration under Narayanpur Collector Smt. Namrata Jain, is beginning to close that distance by bringing government services directly to these settlements.

For years, geography and security concerns kept many villages beyond the routine reach of administration. Basic services such as identity registration, welfare enrolment, and grievance redressal often required long travel or remained inaccessible altogether. The Sushasan Express changes that equation.

Launched in January 2026, the initiative operates as a travelling service centre. Officials and data operators move into remote habitations, set up temporary camps, and deliver services on the spot. The focus remains on ensuring that residents of interior areas, particularly those under the Niyad Nella Nar villages, are covered under essential schemes.

Between January and April 23, 2026, the Sushasan Express has reached thousands of beneficiaries across multiple schemes. The data reflects the scale of on-ground delivery. A total of 1,951 Aadhaar cards, 259 Ayushman cards and 306 labour cards have been issued. Services linked to essential documentation and livelihoods have also seen steady progress. This includes 676 birth and death certificates, 514 ration card issuance, 168 caste certificates, 104 income certificates and 63 residence certificates. In addition, 31 services under the PM Samman Nidhi have been facilitated.

The outreach has not been limited to documentation. The initiative has supported pension-related services, MGNREGA job cards and election-related Form-6 registrations. Health and disability surveys have also been conducted in remote areas. A key feature of the programme is Aadhaar service delivery. A total of 10,682 Aadhaar updates, including Mandatory Biometric Updates, have been completed. This addresses a long-standing gap, as access to identity documents remains central to availing most government schemes.

For many residents, these camps offer their first direct access to government systems. Villages such as Jharawahi, Kandakadi, Korge, Pangud, Madhonar, Raynar, Korenda, Toynar, and Chhinari, once difficult to reach due to terrain and security conditions, are now part of this expanding network of service delivery.

“A daily monitoring system has been put in place to track applications received, processed and pending, ensuring transparency and timely delivery,” said Collector Smt. Namrata Jain. “Through the Sushasan Express, we are working to take essential services directly to people in remote areas. By improving access to identity documents, healthcare, social security and livelihood support, the effort is helping build trust and support the region’s gradual shift towards stability and development.”

Raipur. The effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is bringing positive changes in the lives of women in Jashpur district. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the good governance resolve of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, public welfare schemes are being implemented with priority in the state, so that every eligible family can get the benefits on time.
So far, more than 1 lakh 54 thousand women in Jashpur district have been provided free gas connections under this scheme. This has provided relief to women from the smoke of traditional stoves and has made their daily life more safe and convenient.

Recently, gas connections were distributed to eligible beneficiaries during a program held in Vikaskhand Bagicha. On this occasion, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the government. Mrs. Kranti Yadav, a resident of Bagicha, said that now she is relieved of eye irritation and breathing problems caused by stove smoke, due to which she is able to cook food in a clean environment. Meanwhile, Mrs. Phulmati Nagesia of village Madiya said that earlier it was difficult to cook food on a wood stove and the house would be filled with smoke, but now with the gas connection, cooking has become easy and clean.

This scheme is not only improving women's health but also saving them time and labor. It also plays a significant role in environmental protection. Its impact is clearly visible in Jashpur district, where women's quality of life has improved and they feel more empowered.
