CG SUSPEND NEWS: Balrampur. Vishnupad Mandal, Panchayat Secretary posted in Gram Panchayat Bhelwadih, has been suspended with immediate effect on the charge of illegal extortion in the name of making birth certificate. A departmental inquiry has also been initiated against him. A few days ago, an audio went viral. In this, the Panchayat Secretary was demanding Rs 200 in exchange for making an online birth certificate. Taking the complaint seriously, a two-member investigation team was formed at the district panchayat level and the matter was investigated.

In the investigation report, the complaint was found to be prima facie correct. The investigation made it clear that the act of the Panchayat Secretary falls under the category of misconduct in violation of the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Service Conduct Rules. After this, a show cause notice was issued to the Secretary. The Panchayat Secretary submitted his reply, but the competent authority found the reply unsatisfactory. District Panchayat CEO Ashutosh Chaturvedi suspended Vishnupad Mandal Panchayat Secretary, Gram Panchayat Bhelwadih additional charge Bardar, with immediate effect under the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Service Discipline and Appeal Rules. During the suspension period, his headquarters will be Janpad Panchayat Balrampur. During this period, he will get subsistence allowance as per rules.
