Raipur. The top 10 candidates of Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission 2024 paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence office in the capital Raipur yesterday. Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will be the chief guest at the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony held at the Durga Puja ground in Suhela, the tehsil headquarters of Balodabazar, on December 4, 2025. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai will present development works worth ₹194.79 crore to the residents of the district. This includes the inauguration of 94 works worth ₹41.91 crore and the groundbreaking ceremony for 80 works worth ₹152.87 crore. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao will preside over the ceremony. District in-charge and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal and Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma will be the special guests. Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Janjgir-Champa MP Kamlesh Jangde, former Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal, and local public representatives will be the special guests.

Materials and cheques worth more than Rs 5 crore will be distributed to 16,013 beneficiaries during the programme. Keys to their houses will be handed over to 1,073 beneficiaries who have completed their housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural Housing Scheme). Raipur. Governor Ramen Deka today attended the programme organised at Kopalwani Hearing Impaired School, Semaria on World Disability Day and blessed and encouraged the disabled children. On this occasion, Deka said that the society should be sensitive towards the disabled, respect them and help them in becoming self-reliant. In the programme organised at Kopalwani Hearing Impaired School, Semaria, Governor Shri Deka honoured the students who passed out from the school and are working in self-employment and other fields. He announced to provide 5 computers to this school from his discretionary grant and also announced to personally give Rs 2 lakh to reward the students who performed exceptionally well.

Governor Deka said that people with disabilities are also an important part of our society. We must create an environment where they do not feel any kind of barrier. Raipur. Mr. Jagdish V. Parikh, a representative of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today at the Mahanadi Bhawan in the Ministry. During the meeting, the special efforts being made in the field of higher education in the state and new possibilities were discussed in detail.

Parikh informed the Chief Minister about the institute's proposal to establish its campus in EduCity, Naya Raipur. He also shared information about the courses and academic activities offered by NMIMS. Mr. Parikh also informed him about his meeting with Housing and Environment Minister O.P. Chaudhary today and assured him of all possible departmental support through him.

Chief Minister Sai stated that the state government is developing EduCity in Naya Raipur with a commitment to providing quality higher education. He stated that EduCity will provide the state's youth with the opportunity to study at national-level institutions without the need to migrate to larger cities. He added that the arrival of a prestigious institution like the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies will provide the state's youth with access to quality, high-level education in the fields of management and engineering. The establishment of national and international institutions in EduCity will provide a new direction to youth skill development and create better employment opportunities. It
is noteworthy that the state government is building EduCity to develop Naya Raipur as an educational hub. It is proposed to establish a multi-disciplinary university, research center, incubation hub, digital library, science and innovation center, and state-of-the-art laboratories. ** Women empowerment is the biggest achievement 

The Chief Minister said that in two years, the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has become the biggest medium of women empowerment. 70 lakh women are being given an honorarium of Rs 1000 every month, which has brought positive changes in nutrition, children's education and domestic needs of the families. 

** Tech-Driven Chhattisgarh - Special provisions in the new Industrial Policy 

He informed that a new industrial policy has been implemented in Chhattisgarh, which gives special importance to employment. Furthermore, the new industrial policy includes attractive grants, a single window system, and more than 250 ease-of-doing-business reforms to attract investment. As a result, investment proposals worth approximately ₹8 lakh crore have been received so far. The new industrial policy encourages new-generation industries such as IT, AI, green tech, and semiconductors. Work is underway to develop Nava Raipur as an IT hub, semiconductor plant, and AI data center park.

 ** Bastar's development – ​​a balanced model of local identity and modern opportunities 

The Chief Minister stated that Bastar's development will be based on a balance between preserving local culture and incorporating modern amenities. A special focus is being placed on agriculture, irrigation, organic farming, forest produce processing, tourism, and local employment. 

** Better facilities for forest produce collectors 

 The income of collectors is increasing due to the expansion of Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana and forest produce based processing. 

** The 'Social Psychological Turn' against Naxalism

The Chief Minister said that the Naxal victims' journey to Delhi to speak out was a historic step. This instilled great confidence in the people of Bastar and exposed the true face of Maoist violence to the nation.

 ** Strict action against conversion and emphasis on cultural protection 

He said that strict action is being taken continuously to stop conversions due to inducement or pressure. Preparations are also being made to bring a bill in the Assembly for this. 

** Rapid improvement in education, health and digital connectivity in tribal areas 

The Chief Minister said that the quality of education has improved rapidly in Bastar and Surguja through installation of mobile towers, re-opening and rationalization of schools. 

** Rehabilitation and expansion of facilities in Naxal-affected areas

 Under the Niyada Nella Nar Scheme, Aadhar Card, Ayushman Card, KCC Card, electricity, water, road and other facilities are being rapidly provided in Naxal affected areas.

 ** Successful implementation of guarantees in two years

 The Chief Minister said that most of the guarantees announced by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi have been fulfilled. These include the approval of 18 lakh houses, better support prices for farmers, the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, increased compensation for tendu leaf collectors, transparency in recruitment examinations, etc. Furthermore, a decisive attack has been made on Maoism in the state.

A head constable shot his fellow head constable while on duty. The deceased head constable, P.K. Mishra, died on the spot. The accused constable, K.S. Lader, was immediately arrested by the police. Upon receiving information about the incident, Raigarh SP Divyang Patel reached the spot and began investigating the matter.

A shooting inside an RPF post in Raigarh at around 4 a.m. caused a commotion. While on duty, Head Constable K.S. Lader shot his fellow Head Constable P.K. Mishra with his service revolver, killing him on the spot. The accused, Lader, has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. Given the seriousness of the matter, Raigarh SP Divyang Patel immediately arrived at the RPF post and assessed the situation.

CG Weather Update:  The weather in Chhattisgarh is constantly changing. The impact of the Ditwah storm, which was currently affecting Chhattisgarh, has weakened from a depression to a low-pressure area. Temperatures are expected to rise again in two days. The mercury will drop by one to three degrees. Currently, the minimum temperature in the entire state, including Surguja, is not below normal. Now, a change in the direction of the wind coming into the state is likely. This is expected to cause another drop in the nighttime minimum temperature. It is estimated that the mercury will drop below normal from Thursday night, leading to an increasing effect of the cold.

CG Accident:  Late last night, a speeding Hiva trailer hit a young man riding a scooter at Water World Chowk on Circuit House Road in Raigarh. Bhuvan Shrivas, who was seriously injured in the accident, died during treatment at Jindal Hospital. The accused driver fled the scene. Upon receiving information about the incident, City Kotwali Police Station in-charge Sukhnandan Patel immediately arrived at the scene.

Bilaspur:  A horrific road accident occurred in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. A Deep Travels passenger bus traveling from Marwahi to Bilaspur lost control due to potholes and dilapidated road conditions and overturned into a ditch. 19-year-old Yashpal Singh died in the accident, while half a dozen passengers were seriously injured. Police and ambulances arrived at the scene and began rescue operations.

Raipur. In the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today, apart from giving concession in electricity bills to domestic electricity consumers of the state, other important decisions were taken –

Following the instructions of Collector Kondagaon in the monthly review meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission, the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department has taken strict action after negligence, slow progress and poor quality were found in the ongoing works under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The department has cancelled a total of 37 works of 19 contractors with immediate effect, whose estimated cost is approximately Rs 31.17 crore.

The Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department said that many contractors did not start the work or did not show the expected progress, while at many places the construction of water tanks and water supply as well as bore mining work were not done, in view of these serious irregularities the department has taken this strict step.

The tender for the remaining work of the cancelled contracts, involving security deposit of about Rs 23.38 lakh of the contractors, is also under process. Apart from this, the security deposit will also be confiscated and these contractors will be banned (blacklisted) from participating in the upcoming tenders.

Janjgir Champa. Sad news has emerged from the Janjgir Champa district of Chhattisgarh. Two innocent children have drowned in a well-like pit in the village of Kanai. The family is inconsolable and inconsolable since the incident. Police are investigating the matter. The incident occurred in the City Kotwali police station area.

The names of the deceased children are being told as Asmita Darvesh (6 years), father Chhatraprakash and Princy Darvesh (4 years), father Chandraprakash. Both the girls fell into an open well while playing in the backyard of the house. The family members immediately brought them to Janjgir district hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared both of them dead after examination. But now when the documents for SIR were required, her daughter Sunita Yadav has returned to her home after almost 13 years.
