IndiG0 Airlines receives legal notice of Rs 9000 crore: Chhattisgarh Civil Society has taken a strong stand against the sudden cancellation of more than 3450 flights by IndiGo Airlines across the country within four days and has issued a legal notice to the airline management. There has been a demand to impose a fine of ₹9000 crore ($1 billion) on IndiGo Airlines and to make strict new laws to prevent such incidents in future.

Violation of passengers' rights

Society convenor Dr. Kuldeep Solanki has sent this notice to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Indigo Airlines, saying that this move is not only a violation of the rights of passengers but is also a blatant disregard of Indian laws and civil aviation rules.

Sudden cancellation, nothing short of a disaster

The notice stated that IndiGo Airlines, without prior notice and without providing a transparent reason, arbitrarily disrupted the travel plans of thousands of passengers. Passengers have suffered significant financial loss, mental distress, and loss of time. The affected individuals include a large number of senior citizens, children, women, patients, and businesspeople, for whom the sudden cancellation proved to be nothing short of a disaster.

Ambikapur. The District Employment and Self-Employment Guidance Center, Ambikapur, is organizing a placement camp on December 19, 2025, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The District Employment Officer stated that Mamta Gaikwad, Director of the private employer Yokohama India Private Limited, will be present at the placement camp. The placement camp will recruit 300 machine operator positions. The educational qualifications for these positions include BA, B.Com, B.Sc, and ITI. Eligible candidates will be paid a salary of 17,500 rupees by the company. This recruitment is open only to female candidates. A 
valid registration with the employment office is mandatory to attend the placement camp. This camp is completely free, and the employer will be responsible for all recruitment requirements. The employment office will only act as a facilitator in this process. Raipur. Dipen Chavda was arrested in November 2025 in Crime No. 01/24, Custom Milling Scam, registered with the State Economic Offences Investigation Bureau. Dipen Chavda is an associate of Anwar Dhebar. Due to sufficient evidence against Dipen Chavda, a challan was presented before the Honorable Court of the Criminal Investigation Officer, Raipur, on Tuesday. Dipen Chavda was the manager of more than 2,000 crore rupees of illegal money in other cases registered with the EOW.
Evidence has also been found of Dipen Chavda collecting 20 crore rupees on behalf of public servants in the Custom Milling Scam. In February 2025, challans were presented against the then Managing Directors Manoj Soni and Roshan Chandrakar, and in October 2025 against Anwar Dhebar and Anil Tuteja in the Honorable Special Court (Crime Investigation Officer).

Raipur.  The district administration has taken strict action against illegal mineral mining, transportation, and storage in Janjgir-Champa district. Under the direction of the Collector, the Mineral Department and Flying Squad conducted surprise inspections in the Bamhnidih, Pucheli, Birra, Kansda, Hathnevara, and Pithampur areas. During the inspection, five vehicles involved in illegal transportation—one tractor from Pucheli village, one truck from Pithampur, one tractor from Kansda, and two trucks from the Bamhnidih area—were seized. All vehicles have been kept in police protected centers and related police stations for safekeeping.
District Mineral Officer Mr. Anil Kumar Sahu reported that a total of 76 cases have been registered against illegal activities in the district so far. These include 66 cases of illegal transportation, 6 cases of illegal mining, and 4 cases of illegal storage. A total of ₹24,65,550 has been collected as penalties in these cases and deposited in the mineral fund.

Strict action will be taken against those involved in illegal mining under sections 21 to 23(b) of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957. The District Mineral Officer stated that the process of revoking the driving licenses of the drivers of the seized vehicles has been initiated. In case of recurrence, court complaints will be filed.

On the Collector's instructions, the mineral staff and the district-level task force are conducting continuous patrols and inspections to prevent illegal mining in the district. The administration has made it clear that illegal mining will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

00 Deputy Chief Minister honoured doctors and had dinner with them
Raipur.  Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma organised a function to honour the doctors who contributed towards improving the health facilities in Kawardha. Doctors from Kawardha's district hospital and private hospitals were present on this occasion. Deputy Chief Minister attended the function along with everyone and honoured everyone by presenting them Sal Shriphal and had dinner with them. He discussed in detail with everyone on how to further improve the medical services in Kawardha. He specially honoured the doctors who served the people by organising health camps in the remote forest areas of the district.

He informed that for the expansion of health facilities in Kawardha, approval of 40 posts for 50 bedded maternity and child hospital, Critical Care Hospital Block at a cost of Rs. 16.63 crore, CT Scan, state-of-the-art Integrated Public Health Lab, power backup system in OT and HAMR Lab in District Hospital Kabirdham, capacity of District Hospital Kabirdham has been increased from 100 beds to 220 beds and for this, approval has also been given for 258 new posts. Apart from this, ambulance has been provided to Community Health Centre Pipariya and Primary Health Centre Rengakhar, Sonography machine has been provided to Community Health Centre Bodla.

Government accommodation has been provided at the Community Health Center, Bodla. Public health units have been inaugurated at the Community Health Center, Pipariya, and Sahaspur Lohara. The Raja Navagaon sub-health center has been upgraded to a primary health center, and the Taregaon primary health center has been upgraded to a community health center. Most importantly, approval has been granted for the construction of a medical college at a cost of ₹318.27 crore, making Kawardha a medical hub. Facilities like those in metropolitan cities will be available here.

The Deputy Chief Minister informed all the doctors that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will lay the foundation stone for Kawardha Medical College on December 11th, the foundation stone of which was previously worshipped by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Jashpur Crime News: Police in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district have arrested a teacher for allegedly sexually exploiting a female engineer under the pretext of marriage. The accused, Saurabh Kumar, an assistant teacher, was arrested following a complaint from the victim. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and has been sent to judicial custody.

The entire incident took place in the Tumla police station area of ​​Jashpur. The victim, a sub-engineer, met the accused in his home village in 2024. As their conversations increased, they grew closer. On January 14, 2024, when the woman returned home on leave, the accused invited her to his rented home and, under the pretext of marriage, forced a physical relationship with her.

The accused continued to have this relationship with the woman, promising to marry her every time she returned home. Gradually, the victim began pressuring him to marry her, but the accused insisted she quit her job. Convinced, the woman quit her job, but even then, the accused flatly refused to marry her and began abusing her.

Fed up, the victim filed a police complaint. Since the crime involved a woman, the police took the matter seriously and took immediate action, arresting the accused. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and was subsequently sent to jail on judicial remand. This case once again highlights the importance of awareness and timely legal action in addressing such crimes.

DGCA action on IndiGo:  Passengers are facing significant inconvenience due to IndiGo Airlines flight cancellations and delays. Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh Civil Society has taken strict action and served a legal notice to the airline. Through this notice, the Chhattisgarh Civil Society has demanded a fine of ₹9,000 crore from IndiGo.

CG Transfer News:  The transfer express has once again arrived in Chhattisgarh. The state government has made major changes in the Mineral Department. Bilaspur. Two students preparing for PSC exam died in a tragic road accident on Koni-Sendri road in Bilaspur. This accident shook the city. The car which was running at a high speed suddenly went out of control and slipped off the road and overturned thrice and got stuck in the bushes of the forest. The accident was so terrible that the car was badly crushed and two students travelling in it died on the spot, while four others were seriously injured. The incident is from Koni police station area. Ishu Ratnakar (26 years), a resident of Kharkena village of Dabhra block of Sakti district, was preparing for PSC exam while staying in Bilaspur.

On Sunday night, he and five friends—Bhaskar Rajput (22, Jaitpuri, Bemetara), Abhishek Baghel, Shekhar Chandravanshi, Dishu Ratnakar, and Shyam Singh Rajput—went out to dinner on Ratanpur Road in car number OD 15 M 4400. Ishu was driving the car himself.

While proceeding through the Koni police station area, the car went out of control near Turkadih Chowk. The high speed caused the vehicle to veer off the road, overturn three times, and crash into bushes. The impact was so severe that the car was severely damaged, and Ishu Ratnakar and Bhaskar Rajput died on the spot. Four other students sustained serious injuries.

Railway Special Train: In response to the heavy rush on trains during the winter holidays, Indian Railways has decided to run a winter special train between Bilaspur and Valsad. This train will run four times a week, providing passengers with the convenience of getting confirmed seats/berths.

Amit Baghel: Johar Chhattisgarh Party President Amit Baghel was produced in court by the police after his three-day remand ended. Amit Baghel had filed for interim bail, but the court, in a setback, sent him to judicial remand until December 19th. Amit Baghel had filed a petition to attend the Dashahara ceremony after his mother's death, but the court did not grant him relief.

Following his arrest, Amit Baghel, the head of the Johar Chhattisgarh Party, was sent to three days of police remand. During this time, he traveled to his village on December 6th for his mother's funeral. While in police custody, Baghel attended his mother's funeral.

in five states for his controversial statements. Cases have been filed against him in Indore and Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, and in Noida and Prayagraj in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. In Chhattisgarh, cases have been filed in Raipur-Raigarh, Durg, Surguja, Jagdalpur, and Dhamtari. The cases filed against Amit Baghel will not be clubbed, meaning he will face separate legal proceedings in each state.Amit Baghel, who was absconding for 26 days,
had made objectionable remarks about Agrasen Maharaj and Jhulelal, the patron deity of the Sindhi community. Following his controversial remarks, the Agrawal community and Sindhi community protested across the state and the country. FIRs were filed against Amit Baghel in various states, following which the Johar Chhattisgarh Party chief absconded. After being absconding for 26 days, he was about to surrender but was arrested by the police before he could do so. Following his arrest, the court sent Baghel to three days' police remand.

Raigarh. The High Court has upheld the acquittal of the accused of raping a woman in the district on the false promise of marriage. Rejecting the appeal of the state government, the High Court cancelled the order of taking action against the accused under the rape and POCSO Act as the victim's age could not be proved below 18 years.
The case dates back to February 10, 2016, when the victim from Raigarh district had alleged that she was living in a live-in relationship with the accused since February 1, 2016. During this period, the accused had physical relations with her by promising marriage. When the victim talked about marriage, the accused refused. After this, the victim lodged a complaint with the police in 2016, in which she had accused him of rape.

Based on the allegations, the police registered a case against the accused under Section 376 and the POCSO Act. However, a medical examination of the victim revealed no signs of physical abuse, and no injuries were found on her body. Furthermore, the victim's age could not be confirmed as being under 18, leading the court to acquit the accused.

Challenging the Special Court's decision, the state government appealed to the High Court. After hearing the case, the High Court dismissed the state government's appeal, stating that the victim's age could not be proven to be less than 18 years old, making it impossible to convict the accused. This decision presented an important perspective on allegations of sexual intercourse under the false promise of marriage, and the acquittal of the accused has become a significant example of the judicial process.

Bilaspur . A single bench of High Court Judge Arvind Kumar Verma heard the bail plea of ​​Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who is currently in jail in connection with the liquor scam. Following the completion of arguments from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the judge reserved his decision on Monday.
Baghel's lawyer requested bail based on the delay in the trial and the lack of involvement by Baghel in the liquor scam. The lawyer told the court that the case was filed based on a statement made on October 4th. A transaction of ₹2 crore was reported in the account, but it did not state that the transaction was related to the liquor scam. Following the completion of arguments, the judge reserved his decision on Baghel's bail plea, directing the petitioner and respondent to submit their return statements.
